Running 6k Bulb at last 2 weeks of flowering?

I have heard that running a 10k bulb throughout the last 2 weeks of the flowering stage helps to ripen the buds.

I do not have the funds to buy these bulbs, Should I run my 6k Veg bulbs throughout the last 2 weeks as an equivalent?
