Hi guys couple ?s

Brown dots..

Topping..
I topped my plant 3-4 days ago. IMGP3121.jpgIMGP3122.jpg I dont think i looks right? Just because theres 2 stems growing out the side rather than the top :/ But im not sure obviously :D IMGP3123.jpgIMGP3126.jpg

Lighting..
Im using a 125w CFL & was wondering if i could introduce a 400w every couple hours? I would just use the 400w but with heat and energy issues i cant :/ Soo im thinking the time scale for the 400w could b 12off 2 on 2 off 2 on 2 off 2 on 2 off? Would that b ok for the plant?

All answers are helpfull.. Thank you for previous advice guys. Saafe

Might be some nute burn on those leaves. Arent they a little small to get so many nutes yet ?

Whast that blue dot on the images with the tops ?
And its not strange how it grows, shortly after topping it always looks a bit odd. It also depends on how and where you cut.
Give it a few days.

Also, the lighting schedule, any extra light you can give them would be good.
Might be an idea to try and spread the on time for the 400w somewhere in the middle of the light cycle.

No nutes as of yet :) Just flipped to 12/12. The blue dot is where i topped just cause i couldnt explane where the 3rd & 4th stems were coming from :) Ok bud, i left the 400w on for an hour and the room temp touched 38c :( I dont hav an extration fan atm so i leave the door open but apparently thats not enuff :/

Perhaps the 400w was too warm for the plant ^_^

If you are using a 400watt hps light, I would advice against turning them on and off and on again within a 10 hour period.
If you flip on and off quickly after one another, your light bulb could degrade faster.


edit: could you post a better image of that leaf ? and do some other leafs perhaps have some of those realy tiny yellow spots ? could be a magnesium deficiency too.

Pour the light on them, the more the better. Thats whats gonna make a difference. LIGHT

Well, if the light was only used today I cant imagine it being burned from the heat so fast, as also the top leafs would have been first to show signs.
Perhaps just wait it out, and if it only happens to the first set of leafs I wouldnt worry about it, just as long as the other leafs dont start showing the same.

There are lots of things you can try to keep the temp down a bit. I have 2x400w in a relative small space but have a good exhaust fan and have a oscilating fan pointing slightly up towards the light from a lower position. There are lots of approaches to keeping the temperature down.
Light hood / cool tube, increasing lamp height, fans blowing on the lights etc.

One of the best tips I had for keeping temps down is using the lights on period in the night time, and lights off during day time.

The brown spots hav been there a day or two.. Im 100% its not the 400w thats caused it :) I hav an oscilating fan pointing at the light but thats all i can do for now :/ My first grow was lights on at night but i found it hard to get to it when the lights came on as i was out most of the time.. Im looking into buying a TT fan 4" & a cooltube :) Do i have the ducting connected to the tube going to the fan then going out? So the fan would pull the air through the tube? Also with a inline fan isit a normal 3pin plug? Saafe guys

a cool tube / hood configuration would be like:

carbon filter => tubing => cool tube => tubing => extractor fan => tubing => wherever the air needs to go.

And with 3 pins, you mean grounded ? I guess so.

the plant is very young you could just flush with a few liters of water and not feed again unitl it dries out. Give it some time and see how it does.

But just looking at the leaf would make me ask what kind of soil? did you mix it yourself? Does it have any nutes in it? what is the PH of the water you are using? What is the PH of the water coming out of the plant? What are your temps and humitity? Anything anyone suggest without knowing that stuff is just a guess a very uninformed guess.

LOL I am no pro I am a real newb with only a little grow experience under my belt but I have learned not to listen to people that don't at least ask you those questions first.

Doesnt it have a regular connector for your sockets then?
Carefull if its not, might want to check the input power required.

they are lookin fine, the new stems are suppose to come from the side after topping, and the spots will disappear after a while, don't use too many nutrients when they are that young

Thats cool guys ill keep an eye on her :) Recorded temps from 24c-31c but yesterday it him 38c :/ I dont feed nutes untill after the 12/12 stretch :) No inline fan for extraction just a turny fan (Hahaa) Using a 125w cfl & tryin to introduce a 400w MH but the heat it too much :/ Yeaah i saw your comment KStoner420 i dont think its a cal/mag def as this happend to her 2 weeks ago and she had light green spots :/ Couple peeps said that was cal/mag def. Saafe
