Just wanted to introduce myself. This is my first year growing so I'm kinda learning as I go. I received some Indica seeds from my brother so decided to give it a try. I live in Western NY, south of Snow-infamous Buffalo. Due to our unpredictable weather, I started the plants indoors in March and April. I ended up with 11 plants-5 from the Indica seeds, the rest from some local skunk weed. The plants are all doing well, esp. 2 of the indica's that I planted in my veggie garden which has a very high organic content (thanks to our horses!). 2 of the other indica plants are also in the veggies but no where near as big. One is in the house for 'decorative' purposes. I've been pruning all of them, and tying some of the bigger ones to bend and hopefully keep them from being spotted. (I'll never plant this close to the house again!!). The other 6 plants are growing on the manure pile in an area where the manure has aged for aprox. 6-8 years. They are doing well, all of them are forming buds. Here's my issue: When I orginally sexed the plants, I had 2 showing male traits and 9 showing female (white stigmas, heavy top growth) I now have 1 male (all male flowers), 1 female, and 9, yes 9, hermaphrodites!!!! Most having females at the growth tips and male seeds forming below them. I have been pinching off the male flower buds as much as possible. One of the big plants has an entire branch showing male seeds/buds and the rest female. I'm curious as to what happened?? Due to their weird sex, are they fertile? Can one plant showing both sexes fertilize its self? What should I do to ensure a decent harvest? I'll try to post some pics later. Any info would be greatly appreciated!! :fire:
