Hello everyone. I just received a freebie of Sam the Skunkman's Thai Haze x Skunk #1. Anyone know much about Sam and his gear?

I've heard a lot about him but can't remember. lol I do have some old free-bees from him though, Haze x Skunk or visa versa. lol I never grew them out though. I suppose I should try them someday.

I've a couple of Kandy Kush x Skunk #1 from Sam, I popped one and it's not doing too good but I think that was my fault, as another plant has the same problem(it just never took off, perhaps not enough light).
The plant is healthy and looks nice, but it's just very short, about 12inches tall from the soil to the top. It's also in flower and barely stretched an inch, but the same thing happened to another seed at the same time from a different breeder(Dutch Passion's Durban Poison). But still, they'll yield a few grams and serve as testers, so it's all good.

He's well known in the cannabis community.
He definitely "goes back there", so to speak. He claims to have bred the original Skunk #1 (hence his nickname), and IIRC he's been involved in "real" (ie industry scientific/medical) cannabis breeding/research for many years.
He's also one of the moderators on the international cannagraphic cannabis board, or used to be.
He's also somewhat of a controversial figure, because of conflicting stories about what happened/didn't happen early in the Dutch cannabis scene, including some pretty "out there" allegations that he was a "flipped" agent for the DEA, etc. If you want to be entertained by a whole bunch of crazy stories of unknown veracity, just Google his name.
On strains, he's know for skunk crosses, including haze x skunks. Some of these take a really long time to finish (like 16+ weeks) and grow to be super tall, so watch out!
