sarahs 1st journal!

yay guys! i finally got started, im so excited. im growing some seeds from bc seed king...some seeds from their indoor mix and some juicy fruit i got free. gonna try out 12/12 from seed and see how that works out...im just doing a little experimenting right now...when i get some better seeds for my 2nd grow i'll veg them properly. im going all in soil...the soil is all organic...and my flower nutes are gonna be fox farms tiger bloom, which is only organic "based" but i've heard its good so i thought i would try it out. my ballast is a 400w hps...it was a diy kit i bought on ebay and i got the bulb there too...the whole cost for ballast and light including shipping costs was like...80 bucks...lol. i have mylar all around the room...i couldnt afford a reflector so i just put mylar on the ceiling of the space...lol. i figured that should work in a similar way...but yay for my 1st grow!!! lol

It looks good, but there are a couple of issues, the ballast really needs to be on something non-flammable, that piece of wood is a fire hazard! Also wood shouldn't be connected to the socket either.

cool thanks dude...i'll find a way to fix it...our basement stays pretty cool so im not worried too much about the ballast...cuz im keeping it out of the actual grow space...but the bulb...i'll figure that out...im gonna have to get a reflector i think...but i dont have any extra money right now...but i'll get something better...

you didnt think i had what in me?! lol they're small buckets...like 2.84 litres i think...im doing 12/12 from seed, so i dont really need to transfer them or anything...im only starting with 12 seeds, then i'll just keep the best girls...im hoping for 5 or 6 girls...but we'll see...i still have to wait for the rest of my seeds to pop...

dude...i tried my hardest to get the mylar to smooth out on the back wall...that stuff drove me nuts lol...the sides are a bit better...and the big "door" is covered in mylar...and that part is pretty smooth

i was getting so frustrated lol. cuz we put up plastic behind the mylar as a vapor barrier...and that was a bitch to line up too...lol. but its just the back wall thats such a mess...oh well...im excited for my juicy fruit too!!! only 1 of the seeds has popped so im just trying to be patient...and it sucks!!! ahahahaha i wish that there was a way to send buds...but man...the dea is like the friggin nazis!!

Yeah I have also been curious in 12/12 from seed. I plan on giving it a try in one of my upcoming grows haha hopefully i can refer to your grow for help good luck and keep us posted with pics

might as well veg em for a while..it looks like you have enuff space.....how talls the space any ways..????
