Sativa stretching.

How can I stop the stretching of branches on a Sativa plant?
This is the first plant that I cannot contain the amount of growth she pushes out.

She is already matured in a sense of showing her sex, so I know shes telling me to switch her to 12/12 already, but there has to be a way to tame her without LST.

I've already taken over 20 6inch clones off her, and that was all from the bottom branches.

My problem is she is 2x taller than all my other plants, she is a pure sativa it looks like (Sage & Sour from TH Seeds) her side branches are stretching a ton since sprouting (Not like indica where they dont grow out unless FIMd)

She has 4 main tops, but all the side branching is making it impossible to get good light penetration.
She is the biggest plant in my grow journal.

as far as i can tell she looks great
sativa plants are and can be MUCH BIGGER than indies.

Yea I guess I really didn't see this becoming a problem until she started to give shade to the 3 plants around her.
I realize Sativas will be much larger, but damn, this baby is gonna tower over my Indicas and will cause probably for light penetration.

I think the best I can do is put her in non direct light in the tent so she doesn't grow anymore.
I still have a month left to veg, she might just end up being a mother and not even get to flower.

you could top her, but it might be a little too late

Ha thats the funny part because I used uncle bens 4 topping technique and shes still huge, makes me think how big she would be if I didnt top her.

Ahh, I remember sage n sour, VERY strong strain, great stuff! I believe I wrote a grow/smoke report on it a while back. I also remember the stretch and unfortunately, there is no way to stop it just like there is no way to stop your hair from growing. It just has to happen. However, you can try your best to tie the plant down wherever you can. In the future, always leave room for a plant to triple in size during flowering

You can supercrop the taller branches. Bend them over horizontally, and the nugs will grow sideways towards the light.

I was actually thinking of that, but the problem is I'm going to have 6 plants that will each be nearly 6ft in height and who knows how wide (Each have 4 colas at the base)
Bending them horizontally will only decrease light penetration overall then just on that one plant.
On top of them, I know it seems like I'm not, but I supercrop that sage and sour every week, every cola, every time, and it just keeps getting bigger.

I think my options are limited to....

A) Keep the plant in the corner of the tent not allowing direct light (Basically shade it to stop growth from happening too fast)
B) Let it grow into a mother plant and keep it in the closet or something with enough light to keep it alive and take clones from it for a perpetual (Not a bad idea, but I hate the survival rate of clones)
C) Let it grow, but a week before I flip to flower, cut any top growth to shorten the plant and allow it to grow all new tops during flowering (Take all 4 cut colas and turn them into super clones)

I like B & C but B will be a lot of work and C is a 50/50 chance with cloning the entire cut off colas.

If you supercrop all the tall plants down to the same level, you will have an even canopy, and light penetration will not be an issue.
