Scorpion Tail Poisonous Cabbage, Goats Spider Milk - Scientific Modification....

I just read the first few posts of a thread that mentioned that scientists have added Scorpion DNA to cabbage plants - the cabbage is poisonous to caterpillars, butterflies and the pests that attack crops.
The OP went on to speculate what modification could be applied to cannabis cultivation.
A fascinating area of futuristic guess work.

About a year ago I watched a TV news story about Goats having SPIDER DNA introduced into them.
I imagined a creature that was TERRIFYING !!! A Goat/Spider hybrid with extra legs, an exoskeleton and enormous strength.
But the creature was indistinguishable from usual White Goats.

It's milk, however, was a different story.

The added Spider genes allowed the milk to be 'churned' and a substance extracted that was turned into amazing strong material.
Mankind has invented nothing that has similar strength to spider silk.

With comparable strength a 1" think cable could support MILLIONS of TONNES of weight.
It seems science is about to make this a reality.

So what could happen to the humble cannabis plant?
A GM strain that was, essentially, a two foot stick surrounded by a spiral of dense, thick buds with just 2 or 3 sets of leaves....???
The space needed to grow it would be tiny, very little energy would be 'wasted' on leaf production and the nute/water uptake would be massively reduced.

Or maybe introduce marijuana DNA into a sap/resin producing tree...?

Instead of tapping a maple for its syrup, tap a hybrid for its cannabis oil.

We're at the beginning of a process with LIMITLESS possibilities but extreme caution MUST BE USED.
These hybrids, once introduced to the food chain, cannot be un-introduced.

You can't put the shit back n a donkey...

I saw that spider-goat documentary too weird ass stuff.. the milk was what was used to make the webs after they processed it.. I was hoping for goats shooting webs outta their teets and making big ass webs.. I wouldn't complain too much if they made something like THC apples or pineapples or other fruit..

I think this stuff is fascinating/awesome, unfortunately lots of people on this site are very against GMO's

I would love some Cannabis that has the luciferin/luciferase gene complex in it. Imagine it glowing like a tropical sea when you roll it.
