My girlfriend lives right by a large forested area pretty much in her backyard, I'm gonna wake up and scout a good spot. This will be my first grow since my mom threw my 3' indoor hydro plant in the fireplace. Which is why I'm going outdoors.

I'm Looking for advice on what to look for while scouting? First outdoor grow..so pretty newb

I'm figuring 5 gal buckets for each plant. What about nutrients for outdoor plants?

Anything and everything helps guys - I'm so excited to get started again!

try to plant on down-grades where its feasible you'll have to water less because of the water drainage downward, plant sparcely 3-4 to one spot then move along, attempt to penetrate and plant within large overgrowth(keeps humans and animals out), also if you can start indoors then grow to about a foot in height then plant them as far down as possible, the extra stem space will turn to root and you'll have to water far less, as for soil examine your own soil in the area look for dead trees and rotted growth this stuff has a lot of nutrients in it and will def help with fertilizing also its all natural,, biggest thing of all keep it secret and itll stay safe

tape up your shoes and leave nothing behind especially something that can be traced to you,

peace and freedom

I am doing something similar but about 10-15 in 4-5 diff locations. May I ask what state you are in? Im going to follow along with this cuz its kinda the same. Here are my plans

I am doing a guerilla grow so for each area I want to make 2 trips max bringing back harvest. Heres what I plan on doing.

1- I think I am going to plant most in buckets or ground. I can do either ground or containers, Im not sure yet.

2- Then trying to figure out a good feeding and soil mixture and schedule. It probably will rain once a week, So ill water once a week and twice if no rain, feeding once a week? Adding Nitrogen for vegg.

3- Adding phosphorous for bloom. Then Checking for bugs and problems. Visiting sites 2x per wk? Reg. Maintenance.

4- Preparing for harvest by flushing 5-10, days before harvest? And then no water for last 48 hrs? Or water a day before cutting with just plain water?

5- Then harvesting a site per day cutting at bottom stalk, then downsize into smaller branches and put in black garbage bags(best method?), cuz I can walk an un noticed path back to the "padd". This being sometime early AM. (Living in the city pretty much.) I think watering 24 hrs be4 harv. would be best then let em dry 4 a day(no water) Then cut and downsize into branches, put into bags. and carry em back to the padd. And cant dry in house, any tips? I heard not to downsize to small cuz the buds will dry too fast and smell like hay and have a chlorophyll taste.

6- I think the spots are the best in the"walking distance" area. By best I mean safe from human traffic and animals (rabbits, will they eat crop?), not sure about sunlight hours yet.
I hope the success of this adventure comes to fruition. God, please keep The Ganja and I safe! And I think I will dispose of the big fan leaves at site(prob. bury em)

7- Then dry for 5-7 days? But Where?
Then put crop. in bags or plastic or glass containers to cure? for month? Hoping to have at least 9lbs. :bigjoint:

Im in Washington State what about you? the Forrest i was talking about is a little more populated than I would like...still scouting for better spots..but worst comes to worst ill put one plant back there.

Good luck to you sacred herb Hope our guerilla grows work out

ANYWAYS what looked like forrest was just a small group of trees and bushes surrounded by other neighbors...It just may be big enough though I'm sure that no body will be walking around close to her backyard fence so that area should be good..Dont know about how much sunlight it will get.

But what the hell for my first outdoor grow Ill try 2-3 plants where it is safe from neighbors

One spot there are a lot of Ferns and I could plant a couple right there amung the ferns because they're low enough to not block the sunlight to my plants. Ill keep you all updated

The general area where I am at is also more populated than i would like. I have some wooded areas/forests and a couple of small secluded places that arent really hidden. Some places that are also possibly lacking sunlight hours.

Good luck with your scouting, I done part of mine yesterday morning. I personally have a lot more land to scout but I think from the sounds of it the ferns would work. Before I go into detail though, Good luck sacred and when do you two think would be the best time to put plants outside in the carolinas? Okay, On to details, The ferns would do good low cover and if its thick like most of those small "islands" of forestation are then you should be golden. If you have some thorn bushes around there I would transplant some to help deter people a little more. Also you might want to try to get in and out around 3 AM so theres a LOT less chance of people being awake than say midnight or 5 AM.

You can probably start them in early march outside, so any time after that if you start them inside. Normally after your last frost in your area.

im doing a outdoor grow this year in the uk,and wondering if direct or indirect sunlight makes a big difference?

because the sun is low in the sky now you dont have a good idea of where itl be in a few months.

i am currently taking note of what places the sun shines at what times for a perfect spot.
