.. Scratch
Nice job looks great. I'm amazed that you could get the branches through those small holes. You may find it easier if you had a larger grid. Here is an alternative to pre-made screen material.
Build a frame. It must be relatively strong to support the tension of the line. I used 3/4" plywood and 2x2's for the legs. I cut a square then cut an opening leaving about a 1 1/2" frame. I cut the legs to length then glued and screwed them on each corner.
For the screen use small diameter monofiliament weed wacker line (.040"/1.0mm or something like that). Drill holes just big enough for the line to pass through along all four edges spaced 2" apart so you can string it like a tennis racket. Make sure the holes are in the same place on all four sides so lay it out before you drill.
To thread the screen take a long length off the spool, double knot one end (so it can't pass through the hole) and feed the other end through the first hole from the outside. Use a pair of pliers (on the inside of the frame) to pull the length taught. While holding the line tight feed the line through the next hole from the outside (like lacing shoes) continue to the end then wrap it around a few times and tack with a staple gun (You can't really tie monofiliament line). If you don't have staple gun try using a cable tie pulled tight across the wrap.
Repeat on the other side and you have a screen.
Check out the pic you will see what I mean. You can adjust the size of the grid by changing the spacing of the holes. The flexible line makes it easy to move the branches around as they grow. Just be careful not to cut the line while trimming (been there, done that).
Happy Growing!
