ScrOGer and supercropper experts, got some Q's

Relatively new to the site, been lurking and reading for awhile now, sucking up the information.

Only things I use are Molasses, and compost mixed with organic soil.
CFL grow with 6 lamps in a cabinet, upgrading to 8 for flower. I'm sticking with the CFLs for legal reasons.

Been growing for about 2 years now, first grow all natural, 1 sativa and 1 indicus. cloned the indicus for the 2nd grow.
First grow were both sensimila, from bagseed, with the indicus being more promising out of the two, hence why that was the one cloned.

Second grow from the clone stayed all natural, but i tried my luck with supercropping, with awesome results, well mostly. It went hermie on me, but it was cool, now i've got seeds. I call it pineapple express, because it tastes like pineapple, and the high is like a haze, couchlock if too much is smoked, but for some reason, if you dont sit down, you get tons of energy. Its very pleasant to say the least.

Onto the third grow. Now started with the PE seeds the hermie dropped, got one out of 4 that is female. pulled the males. I'm now trying my hand at ScrOGing, but also have some questions about it. Have been reading the threads on both, and just want some advice.

OK thats the background, now onto the questions.

1. For the training, weave the plant through the screen, or just train it to stay along the bottom?

2. What would be the benifits/downsides to supercropping, while ScrOGing?
I'm not really worried about added time for the grow, I'm on a Hiatus from smoking, for Tolerance and Job reasons for awhile.

3. Topping before the screen is reached seems like the way to start the ScrOG, correct?

Thanks for any advice/answers in advance.
Ill post up some pics in a bit, pics of the 2nd grow are in here,

Changed up the lighting setup for the 3rd grow, all CFL now.

Here are some pics of the current setup, I know temps are on the high side, working on that now.
Got a baby green anole and a baby brown anole in there, both males. Got them out of my community tank thats got 3 browns(1male and 2 females) and 2 greens(both males).

Plant looks kinda shitty, but thats cause I had to eradicate some spider mites(bastards) with malathion. I find the best thing for them is to spray water on the plants every day, seems to keep them away for me, they like hot and dry, so I try to keep it moist in there.

The other 2 plants are fake, for the lizards till I get more canopy.

no weaving. all under the screen
scrogging does the same job of of super-cropping
no........reach the screen asap and begin to scrog

ok, pretty straightforward. Any tricks/tips for a successful first ScrOG?
I know to leave space when manipulating the main cola, to allow room for the secondary branches to reach the screen.

Given my setup what do you think the ''pattern'' should be for routing the main along the screen?

edit- Just got done with a house cleaning job for the bank, scored a 24 hr timer so now i can get rid of that crappy 7 day timer. got 3 other twin light fixtures, so flower will get 12 light sockets with all 2700k bulbs, sound good for a single plant ScrOG?

Plant is healthy, just working off the after affects of a couple malathion treatments for spider mites.
Not too worried about the lower growth, just waiting for the lower leaves to die off so they can be removed.
Not going to trim them, just letting them naturally die off. All new growth is very healthy and already starting to go along the screen.

There is only one plant for the whole ScrOG, those others were fake plants for the lizards in there.

Your mistaken, that plant is not healthy; looks to need at least 2 weeks to recover and START vegging before thinking about scrogging.

For a one plant SCRoG it's gonna take a while in veg for that plant to fill the net, good luck.

regards,

only took one week to recover, and as I said plant is doing great aside from the lower growth. that pic was approx. 4 weeks ago. Bastard spider mites are back. Going to try a tobacco tea just gotta look up the info.

The plants "were" healthy till they started to get the white spots from the mites. As I said, the plants ARE healthy approx. a week and a half after the pic. the lower growth I am not worried about, as that is the growth that will be blocked from the light as the screen fills. Waiting for the other branches to make their way to the screen.

Already have about 10 branches against the screen, being manipulated to follow it.
As I do appreciate the concern over the health of the plant, that is 4 weeks ago, once I get rid of these mites I will upload some more pics to show the progress.
This is the 3rd grow, and on the first a lot was learned about the health of the plants from RIU; For the second grow, info from RIU and a Masters Degree Botanist who has been growing since the 70's was used and for the most part, now I have the hang of it.

I am always welcome to advice as I continue my journey, for after all it is a learning experience.
More updates to come...

PS- not worried in the least about the time it will take to fill in the screen with only one plant. Makes it that much better being sober the entire time, because then the fruits of the labor can REALLY be enjoyed with no tolerance ;)

it needs way more light

take the screen out for now

and get more CFL or a HID

people think 5 bulbs is alot of light but to that plant it aint shit they need ALOT of light, my basic CFL hood has 14 bulbs in it for a 32x32 tent all clones going in it. i usually use a 600 W MH but my bulb blew and im stuck with the CFL rig, wish i had more bulbs in it

Not gonna lie, actually like doing the CFLs; plus jobless at this point hence why the sober spell to pass a piss test if needed for employment.
Total wattage will wind up being 200w, mixed between 2700K and 6000K at a 3:1 ratio for flower. Just started a PC stealth grow with some sweet seeds from a friend. One of their friends brought back some seeds from the base of Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa. The plant usually grows around 20 foot tall, its taken 7 generations to bring it down to a manageable height; gonna see how well it takes to ScrOG :)

The cabinet grow is doing relatively well, aside from the mites. Tobacco tea is holding them at bay until the SNS 217 comes in the mail. The plant is still doing well as the tea has gotten rid of about 90% of the mites, its growing rather quickly surprisingly. Will upload some new pics tomorrow, don't mind the death dots on the leaves from the mites, lol.

As soon as the African seeds sprout, gonna start a grow journal for the PC grow.
Also going to be crossing the African and Pineapple over 4 generations to get a true 50/50 hybrid.
Hoping for a male African, then going to clone the Pineapple, flower it then pollinate for the 1st cross generation.

Cheers!

So ScRoG'n is just holding the plant down so it can try to grow straight up, but all the time crawling along the net. So if we had the time we could just put one plant in a huge tent and scrog the hell out of it like a bonsai tree? I see this happening in my future... What is a good strain that scrogs well? I have a Maui Wowie that likes to climb and crawl like that, but the buds are always real small on it, and this last run didn't pack much of a punch. Maybe I'm not drying or curing or harvesting right, or maybe I just smoke too damn much. .... I need a joint.

from what I understand ScrOG is basically supercropping, minus the supercropping. ScrOG is bringing the plant along the screen to make the buds grow out of the top in an even canopy. for bigger buds I would try other bloom nutes, or try your hand at supercropping. Could very well be in the genetics though too. Could always try to cross the MW with a high yield plant to see if you could create one with bigger buds and the same punch.

@RMB. I know it needs more light, 3 more double fixtures(6 sockets) are going in soon. more than that in the future for flower, which is awhile off ATM.
pretty much experimenting with the different growing techniques to see which is best for me.

Quick question though, 12/12 from seed for a PC tower grow? ScrOGing the PC grow, so should I just veg it to start with? Dont want to start the ScrOG and wind up with a male, guess it doesn't really matter anyway cause I do need a male for pollination for a cross.

scroggin is really simple from my first one anyway i veged 5 plants for five weeks they have been in flower now for nearly 7 weeks there all blue cheese in coco on canna boost and A and B the nly thing with it my colas are only 4_5 inch big and i think they are smallfor what i see on here does any one think ive done some thing rong ??advise needed asap
