Im looking at building a room in my basement. Need some help building it. I was thinking sealed.

I haven't grown for 11 years i quit because i didn't want to go to prison. I lived 700ft from a grade school and it wasn't legal. Now its legal and i dont live close to school. so things have changed.I used tents or open room with panda film . I've always grown in water. as well

Now i want to build a bad ass sealed room. My plan is to run 6 13 gallon RDWC set up CO2 2 1k leds 10x10 for flower use the extra space for Res odds and ins and shit just don't want to feel so cramped when im in late bloom. Veg room will be seperate

For equipment so far I'm thinking whats your thoughts? Please speak freely

24000BTU 2ton mini split
2 1k photontek leds
6 burner co2
trolmaster controller with all the goodies
1/4 chiller
300 GAD R/O

i've already contacted my buddy who is union electrician he is gonna put a sub panel in for me should i go 120 or 240?
I need to get HVAC guy to install mini split

Basically need some that's experienced and knowledgeable to help guide me. I want to buy once cry once with this build no expense spared i have 10-15k budget in mind.

Main takeaways
Room built right
top notch equipment no cheap shit.
As automated with controllers as i can be. If this is possible now days. I know before the controllers just weren't up to par back when i grew. So maybe this is still the case. But if not i would love to have ph top off lights co2 exhaust fan if needed ac dehumidifier room fan pumps everything ran off of controllers with a app so i can monitor. Anyway if you have questions please ask and thanks for your time.

starts around here theres some chit chat between each update but you can indeed see how i built one. im a union carpenter. after building a sealed room from a carpenters perspective my takeaways were this. insulate the room with r12 batts and vapour barrier itll give you sound proofing and easier climate control plus the room will have its own building envelope separate from the house. since were doing sealed i put accoustic sealant around every edge and opening under the vapour barrier. since it was in a basement and there wasnt enough height i made my own insulated doors with a rubber gasket all the way around you can see how i built those they were inexpensive yet very effective vs other insulated doors. i had to do this due to low ceiling height. you can install your own mini split easily with pre-charged line sets just get your electrician buddy to connect it for you thats what i did. i got a 240v flip box for the lights and the rest runs on 120v. i also did a white 2 part epoxy floor. also mold resistant drywall and paint. anywho best of luck with your build

Agreed with xox. You want both 120 and 240. Put everything that can be on 240 on 240. Full automation is possible to an extent.

Thanks for the responses. I will definitely take a look at your build. I have decided I’m having someone else build my room. I will start a room build thread once I get the details ironed out.

I’m the type of person that can’t do things on a small basis. So I’m contemplating taking my space available which total space available is 28x12

min thinking a veg room bloom room and then a lab. I will update when I start other thread once I figure out exactly what I’m doing. It’s gonna be unreal! I’m also thinking about starting a YouTube and instagram and take everyone on the ride with me.

Ive built both of mine with eps cold storage panels. Its expensive in the front end but saves in labor, easy to clean, molds & fungi cant live in polystyrene,no vapor transmission, hard for outside bugs to get in. Easy to put together & take apart if ya ever gotta move it
