Second grow due to first grow fail

Hey guys these are 7 days from seed do they look okay? Bit of stretch they are about 2 inches it might be the light but theres one plant way further away from and isn't stretching and barely an inch high.
All planted at the same depth.
The seed shells were stuck on all 4.
Strain: "Maximus candy" seeds, can't find much info online other than ;

[ Type: Indica. ][ "A vigorous, beast of a plant. Maximus Candy blends the vigor and size of Maximus with its dense flower and the sweet aromatic aroma of Queens Candy. The result being heavy hitting fruity notes, backed with a gassy finish". ]
Does anyone know what cross is this?

They are under a 2100Lumen 5000k LED with the plastic cap removed in a reflector dome.
Going to put them in a 3x4 closet soon with my MH-400 before they start to stretch to much.

Using a cheap "floral" potting mix from the dollar store; humus, peat, sand, mixed with 50% perlite.
PH: 7
ThanksIMG_20220408_184902588.jpg

What were the problems that caused you to fail in your last grow?

This grow going with photos but My first grow was bubblegum autoflowers.

They were in Promix African violets soil with half part ewc mixed with some perlite and red wigglers,
Funny thing is they were alive till the end of flower.

I was able to grow it till flower and finished it with decent smoke but very low yield and small but dense buds straight in 2gals fabric pots. I was thinking I had too much N from worms and ewc in my soil and it might of slowed growth but not sure.

Grown and flowered with full spectrum 1000w panel Led from amazon.. Wich I don't have anymore sadly sold it after
my timer also messed up first week of flower and was only giving like 8h light a day then fixed to 18-6.. might have messed it up some.

For nutes when I saw some yellowing when the pistils came I used fish emulsion 2-3-0 mixed with GH 0-5-4 cause it's all I had.
Is mixing organic nutes w synthetics bad? I know its not considered organic if mixed but can it do some bad
Just checked the ph thru entire grow, no Humidity meter and they were in a cold basement 8ft from a wood stove so low humidity no fans also had no reflective sides, the light just sat on top

So to prevent small yield should I avoid high N in flower , bigger pots? 3-5gal , higher humidity in flower or veg : controled , grow tent or no tent white wall closet the smell doesn't bother me. Any advice much appreciated

Maximus + Queens Candy = Maximus Candy

That's all I can tell you as there is more than one version of each of those strains and some have entirely different lineage. Names don't mean much of anything these days and so much of the stuff is just another hybrid crossed with a hybrid crossed with a hybrid etc... It's gotten ridiculous.

Pictures of your previous grow would help some if you have them.
What is your soil mixture now? What's your drainage like? How long to dry after watering?
N toxicity can cause low yield and low potency. The buds would be light and airy and small. Yellowing can happen with N tox but is more in the advanced stages.
That said, unhealthy plants will be impacted come harvest and results get progressively worse as plant health declines.
As for organic or not, that's up to you. I've mixed them before and had good results but some may argue this could harm the organic biome. When plants have signs of distress it's important to problem solve and troubleshoot the issue and not just add nutrients trying to fix it. Nutrient lockout caused by nutrient buildup in the medium for example; this can cause yellowing. Adding more nutrients would just compound things.

@Killaki No pictures of that grow sadly.. The plant leaves and buds were very very green til the last day of flowering with small buds.

My current soil mixture has a pH of 7 added extra perlite for drainage. Dries out in 3-4days but even when overwatering they don't stay too wet.

N TOXICITY was probably the problem but will try to keep my feeding schedules on charts and watering stable this time and use lower strength nutes to avoid lockup and burn etc.

Currently setting up my MH, will post pics..
And I am planning on keeping this thread active as a grow journal to understand the plant better with some RIU help

Thanks

Got the old MH set up! Boy this thing puts out a fair amount of heat. Might have to raise the humidity in there somehow or buy a small humidifier and a gauge but I will figure some thing out for now and see how it goes.. Will keep the thread updated with picture eIMG_20220408_235442684.jpgvery now and then :blsmoke:

So I just noticed my MH ballast had a Multivapor 360 clear Bulb.. searched online and it says 360watts 35k lumens 4000k.
I have seen it veg some plants a long time ago before my first grow when my cousin owned it, he had clones going under it and from what I remember the node spacing aka stretch wasn't too bad on his plants

Soo do you guys think I will be ok with it to veg for now ?
Let's say it's kind of a low budget grow lol

also should I order this light from amazon ;

Don't order that light. Let us help you at least get a full spectrum white LED.

@PadawanWarrior small closet is close to 3ft by 4ft but will only be able to get that light in like two weeks but do you think they will be fine under this mh for now even tho the spectrum isn't 5-6.5k but 4k thx

Yoo guys so the plants are not stretching anymore under the Metal halide and are growing fine for now but one of these seedlings look kind of deformed with no leaf growth other than getting taller..
Is this some kind of a mutant?IMG_20220411_024914828~2.jpgIMG_20220411_024347731_HDR~2.jpgIMG_20220411_024452230~2.jpgIMG_20220411_024719837~2.jpg

Yo guys they're 18 days from sprout today under 24/7,
Some leaves are canoeing on one plant.. Not sure why, my temp is good but I don't have a humidity meter. For now I just use a shirt in a plate with water lol ,do they look okay?
One plant in my diy SIP is growing wierd and slow so I might just throw it out and veg the other 3 bigger than I was going for to fill my space.IMG_20220418_205955393~2.jpgIMG_20220418_205951669.jpgIMG_20220418_205955393~2.jpgIMG_20220418_205951669.jpg

I can tell by the perlite color the soil is too wet and frankly will take forever to dry out in those milk cartons. Can you transplant to something bigger? At least cut some vertical slits in the sides near the corners for now.
