Second times a charm....?

I posted some pics of my first grow and it was looking so good I got cocky and long story short I was smoking some shit come harvest time. I had temp n airflow issues and I killed em with light. I also didnt transplant didnt use the proper mix of grow medium...I did everything wrong really. They looked great just smoked for shit...but this is my second and it is about 4 n half weeks in and it looks nothing like my other grow. The reason for that is I did my research on this site and actually followed it instead of having the big head and thinking I could do it on my own. Heres my second like I said the largest is about 4 n half its sour diesel so is the plant behind it in the fabric pot but it's a week behind and I transplanted it too soon also, so there's that. That is why it looks different. I decided to try a couple different mediums n mixes. I put a ton of happy frog on the corner pot, the self watering. I love that pot and how its growing. Its maybe 4 weeks old. Just wanting to gather more knowledge from the masses and show my appreciation for the knowledge I gained that got me this far. Btw speaking of far, how long before they flower. I am kind of ready. Oh they are all autos of course. Prob tell by the size. I'm up for any opinions n knowledge spitting. Thanks guys.

If I had 3 quick pointers I would give newbies....for one use some happy frog, 1/3, 1/3 perlite and i know its forbidden to speak of but organic miracle grow. Two, do not over water. In fact under water. 3 use 1/3 recommended nutes. Especially if using autos like me.....you dont need em if you use the right soil. Hope that helps someone.

They look nice & healthy...Congrats! I have never grown autos so can't answer your question. The one thing I was gonna say is it looks like you could lower your light some....but I understand you may be skiddish if you cooked the last ones.

Best of luck....sour diesel is a lovely strain if you can get a good one. I'm running some SD /lemon skunk that is looking awesome in week 9 of flower, and has a few more weeks to go. I do want to try an auto some day for shits & grins !

I'm getting what I'm certain is rust fungus on one of my plants and from my past exp with the shit it spreads quickly. I opened my grow tent for a couple days because our HVAC unit died on us and it took a couple days to get it fixed so I put several fans and opened it. I noticed the rust spots on the next to smallest. The one in the run off clay pot. How have you guys dealt with this issue?
