So I started some new seeds 4 days ago in rockwool. Its been 4 days and I smell a faint moldy odor inside my dome.
Here is how I do it. I soak the cubes in ph 5.5 nutrient solution at a very very low ppm just like the packaging says. I shaked off excess water, did not squeeze at all. I placed the seeds about 1/2 inch down in the cube and lightly covered the hole with small pieces of rockwool, just enough to keep it dark. I then placed them in a tray and covered with a dome. A couple times a day I have been misting the dome to keep the humidity high. The cubes have staying nice and moist, not saturated or soaked. No water falls off when I shake them. The tray and dome are placed under my 4 bulb T5 light that is made for cuttings and seeding. It is nice and warm in the dome as the light is pretty close to the top of the dome.
Am I doing something wrong here? Why the faint odor?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am close to cracking one open to see what is going on.
