seed is growing upside down

i decided to start my seeds in soil. i wet the soil down and pushed the seed into the soil. now 2 days later, i check on them and on one there is a small single root poking out of the the dirt. i diddnt even know this could happen. Has this ever happened to anyone else? should i dig it out and fix it? should i leave it alone?

thanks a lot!! when i went to do it the root was already hooked downwards. i put a lil dirt on it and a tiny cap full of water.. +rep for you!
