Let's Agree To Disagree! Ok it has been 27 years for me since the day I started growing cannabis! I have heard a lot S hit over the years, some true, some way off base! I have a Panama Red plant and a Columbian Gold plant, both of which I have been colning for 24 years. Yes it is the original strains from the 70's. Mother plants died years ago, but I am always colning from the clones.
Is it just as good today as it was back then? Hell no! It's even better! Why you may ask! Simple, - nutes! Nutes have change drastically over the years. Back in my hey day nutes were kinda dinosaur like compared to today's nutes.
1st generation, second generation who cares about that crap? The fact of the matter is genetics. DNA will never change from one clone to the next. The only proven way to change the genetics to any living plant or animal is by introducing large amounts of calcium or crossbreeding. Unfortunately large amounts of calcium will kill pot plants, and fast. The main reason people see a mutant plant, or a hermaphrodite these days is simply because of cross breeding! The genetic make up of these cross breeds lies in the DNA ~ it is kinda like having sex with your daughter or sister and a baby is produced. This is a part of the DNA pattern which upon occasion a mutant, or a hermaphrodite is produced. That genetic make up will always remain in the DNA pattern! And like I said above: The only proven way to change the genetics to any living plant or animal is by introducing large amounts of calcium or crossbreeding! Hope this clears things up a bit! I'm not one who explains things real well, but hey a buddy of mine is a geneticist maybe he would be willing to touch on this subject! I'll try to get his lazy pot smoking ass on here to explain it!
