Seedling and LED

I usually nurse seedlings on cfl's placed within an inch or two, for a month before flowering with LED. I am doing away with cfl all together now. I want to start seedlings on LED, but dont want to fry them either. I assume that if an LED is rated effective from 12-18" I should simply start at 18" for seedlings? The light is a Kessil H150.

I have started quite a few under the Kessils. You will be safe at apx 18 inches. Let them grow to it. Keep a eye on footprint. I have burned a few at the 12 inch mark. .Just started a full on LED grow with Kessils. I have always change lights. I was having a hard time trusting the Kessil LED. Could never really find any real grows with them. We have a few here now going to go with them. Going to go for it this time.
