Next grow I plan to build a seedling box so I can have some sprouts ready to go in the closet right after harvest. The box I plan to build will be fairly small so it can easily be hidden. The dimensions will be around 24"w x 18" - 24"h x 18"d. I'm going to line the inside with mylar and cut holes for 120mm PC intake and exhaust fans on each side. It ought to be pretty sweet. I plan to hang either a single high wattage CFL in the middle or two lower wattage CFL's about 8" in from each side. Two bulbs would probably give better coverage.
Given those dimensions, what wattage CFL do you guys think I should go with? My ventilation should be decent so heat shouldn't be a huge issue in there. Would two 45 watt bulbs be okay or should I throw in two 65 watters? I'll probably be starting about 16 plants at a time and of course the longer I can keep them in the box the farther along they'll be when I put them in the main closet. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'd rather space in the box become an issue than insufficient light.
Thanks for any input.
