Seedling Issues Day 15

Hello all,

I started 10 seeds on the 27th of November.
They comprise 6 different genetic backgrounds.
I have
1 Big Bud x NL fem
1 Blue Hash fem
1 ReCon fem
1 Rocklock fem
3 S.A.G.E. undetermined
3 F13 undetermined.

They have been growing in 18 oz party cups for two weeks. The medium is 4 parts perlite / 5 parts peat. (Practically 50/50.)
The wetting solution for the soil as well as the watering solution so far have been the same.
I am using 15ml of Canna Rhizotonic and 1/2 tsp. of Great White Mycos per gallon of water.
They have received no other food yet.
I have watered twice since the initial planting.
The first watering had an initial ph of about 6.7 and a run-off of about 4.5 (This sent me on a learning mission about ph of runoff versus ph of watering solution.)
The second watering had an intial ph of about 6.56 and a run-off of 7.4. I know I should shoot for 6.3-6.5. And I will hit it next time.

The second watering was on Friday which was 4 days ago.
Within a day of watering I noticed red rust spots on some of the leaves of some of the plants. But just one spot on one leaf of most plants.
By now the F13's in particular have multiple spots, slow growth, and leaf twisting a bit.
The Rocklock has gained a lot of brownish necrotic looking spots on a large amount of it's leaves. it has been the rapid grower/developer of this run so far.
I noticed one of the S.A.G.E.'s has spots and a yellowing 2nd leaf set too.
Most of these are just now working on their 3rd set of leaves. Seeing damage on the first two sets of leaves is most disheartening.

STATEMENT: I am sure I will be told I need to properly adjust my ph. I have been shown how to test and adjust the ph of my to be watered medium by a friend. Now I need to know what to do with the current state of my little ones.

QUESTION: 1. What do I do now? The soil is still damp from a recent water, but not too bad.
2. Do I water with ph adjusted water again now or do I wait until the next watering in the next few days? (I have an airstone set-up so my water will be oxygenated.)
3. Do I water with a mild fertilizer solution that has been ph adjusted since they have not had any food yet and they are starting their 3rd week? I want to do this, but I am really concerned with whether or not the ph issue needs to resolved first or if I can kill two birds wth one stone. I don't want to add to the problem.

Comments: I think when I was adusting the water for the first watering I didn't realize it was important to wait for the solution to adjust itself before watering. So that watering had UP and Down in it. I over DOWNed so then spent a lot of time adding little bits of UP. When I tested the solution later it had continued to go up after I watered. I think the second watering was done more carefully, but had an issue. I failed to purchase more testing solutions. I was reusing one of the buffer solutions from the first watering. This probably gave me a pretty bad reading. I was aware before and am now that this was pretty sloppy. But the cups were dry and it was late. Won't happen again. I bought a gross of each solution.

See the pics.
Ask questions.
Give advice.
Be nice.
Thank you!

P.S. This was prepared in the middle of the day. It had to be paused before finishing because the pics weren't finished uploading. So it is going up now. 12/14/11 at 2:12 am.
UPDATE: The Rocklock has grown a little taller and it's damage is more pronounced, but no new areas seem affected. One of the leaves of the F13 looked questionably like it was 30% necrotic spot before and is pretty well confirmed now. But for the most part the group looks like it is going along as expected. I think that transplanting to a reasonably larger container like 2 gallons is going to help and if anything is necessary.

Too young to be the ph,its the medium with nothing in it. Time to start real veg nutes nutes now , first dose 1/4 then 1/2 then full.

Too much TLC.

Go back to basics mate...... just give em water and light, thats all they need right now. Unless your tap water ph is miles out don't worry, ya soil mix will balance it.

Once you move to intermediate pots start using rhizotonic it works wonders.

I would 2nd to soon for nutes you would burn them to hell even strait ffof was alittle to hot for 2 week old seedlines, but differnt strains can have differnt nute needs. ;)

First I would pop'em out of the cups, after watering, squeezing around the bottom, flipping upsides down with hand support!
Look to see if the roots are growing in circles or hitting the side of the cup and stopping?
Time to transplant? pics 5,12,18 looks root bound
If you add nutes keep'em around 200-250 ppms with a accurate tester!
Worry more about ph going in than whats coming out!
What type of light you using for the seedling? pics 6,7 should be under florescent!

There is no way a 2 week old plant in a 18 oz cup is root bound.....

I go with MMG, something that size would never get nutes or anything but p'ed water if it was in my house. Hell, i run plants in DWC without any nutes for weeks and weeks. With my soil/perlite/sand mixes, i'd not feed for a month at times, and with coco i would equally not feed with nutes for weeks and weeks.

I agree in that at that stage, i cannot see ay way in which they would be root bound.

And Mota you will need to add dolomite lime to your mix before transplanting. 2 tablespoons per gallon of medium. A couple of cups of worm castings per gal of medium would be great also. Add those 2 things and you can forget about pH for the rest of the grow....

Again he is in a 50/50 mix of peat and perlite....they need food......

I am aware of what medium he is in, and i would never give them nutes at this stage. I have run many mediums, including peat and perlite mixes, i have NEVER had to give my plants nutes until they're weeks old and half a foot tall. As i say, i grow my plants in DWC with plain water, they have no issue growing, yet there's no food for them. Hmmmm

Maybe thats why it takes them weeks to get 6 inches tall..........but to each his own......

Im wondering what kind of temps you have? I find it crazy that you have only watered twice in 2 weeks. Those cups in a 70-80 degree range should be dry in about 2 days.

I am not sure what starving a plant has to do with making it healthy. But those cots are yellow and drained on those plants and they need to be introduced to some nutrients........

Wow,
Great to see all the responses.
They are about 8 inches under a 2 foot/ 4 tube t5 light. I know they could be closer. I am okay with the distance as it allows me to put some non-cannabis seedlings under the light as well.
The temperature has been around 72 degrees. (They are in the house with central heating kept at 68 degrees fahrenheit, and they are under lights.)
I am planning on moving them to a dedicated space under a 400 mh when the are fully vegetative AND have healthy leaves.
I have an EYE Hortilux Blue bulb sitting new in the box.

In response to the responses I am going to check to see how much root activity there is in a cup by examination.
They are drying faster and faster as they mature. One week for first watering. 6 days to next. 4 days since then and the cups are pretty light, but not bone dry.
After checking I will probably transplant.
Either way I will add 1/4 strength nutrients to a properly ph adjusted water, plus beneficials.
I acquired a bag a commercially brewed verimiculture tea from the garden store for free the other day.
I forgot to mention that when I do feed I will be using BioCanna products and beneficial microorganisms.

I will be making a complete journal today as well, so you can get the whole picture.

I know my ff big bloom and botanicare pure blend both have an allowable dose for seedlings indicated on the packaging. Whether or not they need it they claim that it won't hurt them. My 3 day old seedlings got a dose of 1tsp pure blend into a quart of water. Each plant got a 1/2 cup and they look fine!
