Seedling Showing Multiple Symptoms -- Need Advice

I have a two week old Northern Lights plant growing from seed in Miracle Gro Organic Soil. She is currently under one 26W CFL for 24 hours a day. I plan to switch to 18/6 any time now. I water her with distilled water when she's dry (usually every other day or so). Yesterday when I watered, I mixed in a very small amount of Miracle Gro All Purpose Plant Food to try and perk her up. I know she's a little young, but I didn't know what else to do. She was doing well for the first week, but has been looking worse every day since. It started with some brown/purple discoloration on the edges of her leaves. Then her serrated leaves started curling down a lot and her cotyledons started yellowing. And today, when I woke up, her leaves were starting to turn white on the edges. I've tried to diagnose her myself, but all of the pictures are starting to look the same to me, and I'd really like to get some advice and opinions based on my picture. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

IMO get rid of the MGOC soil. I had nothing but problems with them and since switched to Fox Farm Ocean Forest. You don't have to, I'm ust saying it works for me, but no matter what, don't fertilize the plant for a while, you basically nute burned the crap out of it.

get a better light dude, even a windowsill at that age is better than a 26w cfl. stop using miracle grow, it doesnt need it yet. what soil is it? i suggest water from the tap at the mo, water well till its comes out the bottom, that should flush out any nutes that maybe the prob, get a better light mate..

I have more lights, but I can't fit more than one over her right now since she's so small. I do think the nutes made her worse, but the problems started before I fed her.

Not really an option, unfortunately. Especially since I don't really know where I went wrong with this one yet. I'm still holding out hope for her though.

You went wrong when you put it in soil with nutes and then gave it nutrients. You could basically grow a healthy plant in water only for a couple weeks.

Right, but all of these problems (except for the whitening) happened BEFORE I fed her anything at all. I only gave her the nutes yesterday, and she's been doing poorly for about a week now. And it was not even 1/4 dosage. I just sprinkled a little in her water. I agree that the soil must not be doing her any good. And yes,the nutes made the problem worse, but they didn't CAUSE the problem.

Hey Lumos,

Im having a similar problem. I've got three seedlings, 2 of which look like yours. I planted around two weeks ago and they're more discolored than yours. I think my issue was low humidity and a fan blowing right on them. Got a humidifier and turned off the fan and they appear to coming back. That was yesterday.

Do you know what your rh is?

More than likely, it was the nutes IN the soil that started it.

MG Seed Starter mix is actually pretty good stuff and has no added nutes or anything that will hurt seedlings.

Try that and avoid 'loving' the plant too much.
