Seedling slow growth?

Hello.

Doing my first ever grow in soil. Gold label special mix with 20% added perlite.

I wonder if this growth is normal or not, looking at other journals make me think Im very slow.

Day 10 above soil
18/6 lights
75-80f
50% humidity
15w Vero18 each about 12 ” from the plants

Ive watered them regulary as I think the soil seems very light and getting dry fast. I gave them 400ml water each the day before yesterday and they almost tipped over and now I hold water back.

Giving them light misting around leaves and stem but as picture shows the drops of water in making it droop.

I expected to start doing small training and having to flip them into flower very soon but all new growth is still very, very small.

If Im way out Im thinking of going to hempy buckets instead as it seems more fool proof, faster and more yield etc.

What do you think?

You're looking on track for 10 days. I would hold off on misting unless your humidity is super low. You should get by with just watering every few days. It may seem like it's growing slow because they in such big pots. Right now they sending their roots all around growing under ground. Once the root mass gets big enough you should see explosive growth on that little thing.

Thank you!

However I noticed some silver spotting on the leaves today.

Are those thrips? I think Ive seen something small as a ”bug” but when I take it out an examine the plant I cant find anything over, under, stem, etc

Yeah. Dont know what to call them, tiny silver spots. I found some microscopical black dots too that are removable. I thought I saw something small on it today when I opened the tent.
