Seedling Stem Damage

Hello Guys
My friend had a little accident with his grow. He had a CFL fall on a seedling stem, crushing it, and leaving it white and flat. The leaf is still green, however, I am worried that it is not getting nutrients through it. Will the stem repair itself like with super cropping? Can I cut the stem above the damaged area, and attempt to clone the seedling?
Thanks for your help guys.

PS, I am foilar feeding it with a very low concentration nute solution with water.

no dude, don't try and clone it...
I did the same thing earlier this week but I actually broke the stem clear in half. It was only hanging on by the outer plant dermis. CAREFULLY, I tied the plant to a toothpick with sewing thread, and the weigh of the plant held it upright. I had to leave it inside for a few days afterward so no wind would blow it over, but eventually it fused back together and I only lost about 2 days of growth.
Basically my answer is to find a way to hold the stem together where it broke/kinked. If it's broke so much that it's limp, you have to find a way to hold it straight up. You gonna have to use a little "prison sense" and craftiness to figure it out but it's not hard. If you don't want to be a McGuiver in the future, they have special plant mending tape for horticulturists but I can't find a link. Ask your hydro store owner.

Hmm, I agree totally, but what I am worried about is that the stem might be damaged to the point that nutrients/water arent going up to the leaves. I have rigged a attachment to hold up the plant, but I am worried that the stem is too damaged to repair.

yeah, you could bury it up to the leaves in soil, but I've never done it before so I can't speak for it myself
