Well i make a thread about a week ago and asked what i should do if the plant came above soil but still has the seed on it, and people said to wait a day or two and the seed should naturally come off. I did this and it has been a week, and the seed is still on the plant, there are NO leaves, just a straight stem, probably 1/4th an inch above the soil with the seed still on it. The seed has not showen any signs of beginning to come off or anything, its just got lil crack in it were the stem is coming out. It is also growing REALLY slow, its been about two weeks now ive had it planted and i check it every day and i just see a SLIGHT increase in height, some days no increase at all. Anybudy have any idea on what to do or what is going on with my plant? Is is just going to eventually die?

I'm still a newbie, but I had this happen to a few of my plants. I gently pulled the seed apart where it was cracked with both of my thumbs. I did this to a few of my plants and they all ended up growing fine. I also ended up peeling off this little clear film underneath the seed which was stuck on some of them. Once I took the seed and film off the plants showed their leaves instantly. One of the seeds was too hard to pull apart, so I waited a day and then it came off easily.

Most seeds will lose their out shell so you shouldn't have to do this everytime. Next time wait a little longer and it should fall off itself.

Peace out

sometimes the shell sticks on there but let it get atleast an inch tall before you pull it off yourself

Yea, it looks really short. When you pull it off, that is if you decide to pull it off, spray a little bit of water on it to dampen it up. Then come back a half hour later and gently take it off with some tweezers. Two of my five current plants had the seed shells stuck on them so I had to pull them off. Once it gets going some of the lower leaves might be a little deformed but it'll be okay in the end.
