Seedling Turning Yellow/Brown?

the seed finally came out of the soil today and was yellow and brown looking. It hasn't fully opened up yet I just can see it from the sides of the 2 leaves . Is this normal?

Tough without a pic. Could be you are seeing the shell still stuck on top and it will fall off in a day or two. Totally normal. Or your soil mix is way too hot (nute rich) and you are burning it.
