It had to have cracked if it is growing. Can you take a better pic? You may just have to take the seed and membrane off but I cannot see the seed at al due to blurry photo.

It has a tiny crack near the bottom if you can see but it is very firmly attached if I try to take it off it will rip its head off

That's much easier to see. You know it is cracked open a fair amount as it is growing, can't do that if not cracked. I would do like Herb & Suds suggested and try spraying it. If it doesn't come off in a day or so I would remove it. Take 2 items and pull the seed apart is what I would do and than see how it is. You may also have to remove a membrane that will hold on, will only know when the seed is off. Either way it's not a big deal, just be very gentle. It's a pretty common issue.

I have a Melonaide Zkittlez seedling doing the same thing. Been misting the shell, and it's about to fall off. Took about 5 days.
