Seedling

What is considered a seedling? I have read that when it gets its 3rd set of true leaves it is no longer a seedling, true? I used to go by time but, since some seeds grow faster, feedings can get screwed up.

Welcome to the forums! Personally I consider the 3rd set of leaves no longer a seedling also.

I'm open to correction on this but I always thought it was a seedling until the cotys fell off, when it starts photosynthesising on it's own.
Are you asking because you want to feed?

More so for a time frame. I start with something like "canna start" for seedlings, so it would be nice to use that until something like 3rd leaves and then switch to reduced nutrients like "canna A/B".

It would make it easier. Like I said I would do like 2 weeks but, some seeds were slow others would grow like crazy.
