Seedlings bending and dying

Hey guys, I need some help here since my outdoor seedlings are suffering from a strange death and I've already lost a dozen of them and counting.


The stems start bending (second picture) and the next day a portion of it is thin and it looks as if Dracula sucked the life out of it

I've checked and there are no bugs or pests around. I even took them indoor but the problem persists. Any idea what could cause the premature death?

Cheers for the link. Is there any particular treatment I should follow? on Wiki they suggest an homemade solution made from chamomile tea or garlic. Could that do the trick?

i find when i damp off its usually me giving too much water , letting seedlings sit in soil that is saturated instead of just barely moist

Right...so it's not necessarily a fungal disease as Wiki put it. I'm usually careful with watering but Wiki also say it could be cool weather (which we've had the last few days).

Will keep the seedlings indoor at night time and see what happens before treating for fungus. Thanks again.

Im worried about that dark purple stem, something wrong ,could be diseased, very weak soft stem collapsing in the middle.

As I've read what you said, I went and checked the color of the stems and I think you could be right. Some are green and 'fat' stems while other are thinner and dark purple at the base. This is not good, isn't?! Should I treat for fungal disease?
