so im planning my first hydroponic grow and i was wondering; are you able to grow seedlings in an ebb and flow setup? or do you have to start them on a drip and then switch to ebb and flow once they are established plants. Im asking this because i feel like the fragile seedlings would be harmed when the tray floods... thank you to anyone who can offer some advice! :-P :leaf:

What are they in now? If they are in small RW cubes, wait until you have good roots coming through the cube and then transplant into a pot with hydroton or coco, etc. In this method, the cube should be 1/4-1/2" above the water line to keep it from getting soaked. It acts like a sponge and will suck the water up.

Goldowitz hit that one for ya. I go from seed in a starter 1.5" rockwool cube w/a heat pad and dome, under a 26w cfl. AS SOON AS she pops up, I place her in a tub of hydraton (just at the ebb and flow line) and put a 100hps in a cool tube w/a cpu fan at 10". Maybe use 75-100ppm nutes with vit b and run it! Dont wait too long to get higher lights on it, or she'll stretch fast. Good luck to ya!
