Seedlings leaves yellowing

Hey all I'm a little worried about my baby girls. Today is day 15 and I feel like they should be bigger and now the little sprout leaves are turning yellow on a few. I think that I might have over watered from the get go.
A few ideas I have for why th is is happening.
1 over watering?
2 right now I'm using tap water left out for 24hr, waiting on a pH meter should be here Tuesday so I'm not sure what the pH is.
3 could it be that the soil is to compact for the roots to grow? I didn't pack it down but I also can't stick my finger in the soil with easy either so maybe that's it?

Here is more information on my setup.

first pic is drooping...could be a number of things. but I would say its over watered. You have them in big pots...the moisture in there will last you days prolly, depending on your temps and airflow.
shove your finger right in the soil,go in 1/4 to 1/2 your finger. if the soil is moist dont water....only water if the soil is dried out to the touch.

the next pics look better....those first set of leaves should be stretched pointing straight outwards....like you pointing your index fingers arms extended at your sides.
the new growth looks light as in bright coloured....could be deficiency or could be your water too if ph is too far from neutral. or ph of the soil....which will lock out certain nutrients.

most of all let it do its thing try not to over baby it...i know its hard....give it what it needs when it needs it nothing more nothings less.
and when you start giving ferts....go easy at first do go all crazy til you know how much to use.

I was thinking about putting them In something smaller like solo cups but I didn't want to because they are so young. Should I leave them where they are? Solo cups are not that much smaller I guess..

dont bother now. next time use a party cup to start or even something smaller like a cut in half water bottle. but going smaller means needing to pay attention more.

Hey all. So I tested my water, the tap water that I leave at room temp and distilled is at 37 ppm and ph is around 7-7.2 is that ok for seedlings?

I know what your problem is, humidity and heat too low. Put them in a warm humid area...that's what they like when they sprout.

I'm not quite sure what to do. I need some advice here folks... I thought I was over watering but I really don't know they don't seem to be getting any better. I'm on day 16 and they are really small and yellowing. I waited for the soil to dry out completely and watered on the 5th but still no change. My temp are between 72-80 and humidity is 35-45%. How long is it OK for seedlings to be in dry soil to correct over watering? Any help would be appreciated I don't wanna see these seeds die...

Like 2supra said, they're probably too wet. That's the droopy leaves. Stick your finger in the soil 1/2", if there's any moisture at all, leave them and let them do their thing- they'll prolly perk up in a day or 2.

The other thing is they're not a dark green, they're a little yellow. So since they're wet, wait a day or 2 or 3 til they need watering. Then give them a light dose of fert with their water and they should perk and green up quickly.

Good luck.

my new plants were yellowing the same way as yours and a lil bit of fertilizer got rid of it in a couple days

hey bro they can live in the desert and shit, they will tell you If they need/want a drink. don't worry about tap ppm and ph doesn't matter I don't like the look of that soil mix though id be changing the mix and checking the ph of that mix before worrying about water ph

Thanks you guys just woke up to a few good tips. I'll give them a few days to dry out and then give em some food.
Thanks again!

What type of lights are they under and how close are they to the plants? What type of soil are you using? It looks like the soil has a lot of perlite mixed in with it, so I wouldn't imagine it would be too compacted that the roots wouldn't be able to grow? I really wouldn't feed them anything until they have at least 2-3 nodes and the baby leaves (cotyledons) have shriveled up.
