seedlings moving away from light?

Hey anyone ever run into this? Week old seedling which looks pretty healthy bending away from the light source? I have my CFL about 3 inches above the plant with humidity at 65 rh and temp around 75 F.

I was thinking maybe it was searching for fresh air? At this point I have a humidifier as my air inlet for my grow closet.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

How many watts is your CFL? Sounds like it might be getting too much light. I could be very wrong about that, but I can't imagine why else a plant would be trying to move away from the light source unless there's too much of it. If it were me I would try moving the light up a little bit to see if the plant starts growing toward it instead of away from it.

It might not be getting a good footing and is weak. You can prop it up with a tripod of toothpicks, file down the sharp ends if you want, and give it a gentle breeze from a fan bouncing off a wall.

Its probably what deadgro said. I had this issue before, the problem was i had my seedling next to a window with plenty of sunlight, during the day it chose to look at the sun outside the window instead of my single 18w 6500k. If you pick your cup up does the stem sway severely?

i wouldnt say it sways severely, but the root is thinner where it enters the soil. and is thicker where it meets the leaves

Yeah that sounds like it stretched too fast or watered too much. Deadgro said use toothpicks to prop it up. That is a good idea to jump start your stem
