Seedlings Question with Lighting

Hey All,

Starting some Pineapple & Sharks Breath seeds, already germinated. I have them under a 175W HPS about 8 inches away. Is that far enough away or not close enough? Thanks!

Hey man you should get that light up and away immediately, seedlings are super sensitive and when using hps/mh lamps you should be two to three feet away from the seedling. I had two seedlings lost to a 150w hps when it was probably 18 inches away, which was very shocking. your best bet is to go far away first then move in to increase your plants strengthen.. Will do! I also have a T5 I'm using as an extra side for another project. I think I'll switch them out judging by your tone. Thanks!

Okay, they are now under a T5 and about 6 inches away. Looks and feels a lot cooler than the 175W HPS.

id go for hps all the way..

Got the T5 on them and have 4 out of 5 sprouts already. Thanks all!
