However if the seeds haven't been dried to low level of moisture you run the risk of damaging the cells as they burst during the freezing process from the moisture expanding them. Air tight container with a pack of desicant in the fridge is what a lot of people do.

That's what I've been hearing it's just that there's condensation in the vegetable bin and other parts of my fridge so I was thinking maybe the freezer would be better.

I've never done it, but I've heard mixed things. Sounds like it's not a bad way to do it if you make sure they're fully dried and packed well. At least for long term storage.

For the first couple years I grew I put them in the freezer in a paper bag in Ziploc bags. I've had good but not great results getting those 5-6 year old seeds to germinate. After talking to one of the breeders I had gotten seeds from I switched to mason jars with desicant in the fridge. I'll see how they do as I work through them.

I find the best way to freeze seeds is throw them in a field when out rabbit hunting in January
I returned in pheasant season to hundreds of two foot plants
For the most part I store my seeds in the refrigerator in a Rubbermaid container for years
I’ve never had any try and germinate in 39 f
But my freezing method was still the best way
