Seeds and unrooted clones in same humidity dome

I got a humidity dome with a t5 light and will take clones from my plants soon. I was wondering if I can also put some seeds in there and start them all together or if I should maybe start the seeds a week before I add the cuttings or the other way?

Will they need about the same conditions and take the same amount of time before I transplant them all to 1 gallon and put them in my tent? Ideally I want them to stay small for about a month.

Clones will invariably 'do what they do'.
10-15 days is a good guide.
Humidity dome is good for seeds/lings and clones. But you will need to 'harden off' the young un's or they will wilt/fold when moved under normal lighting...
So I'd crack the humidity dome from day 10 (IMO) and let some cooler fresh air in.

I rarely go for same age grow like this but I'd get clones 2 weeks before dropping seeds.
Plant clones when they show roots in whatever you are using (I use rapid rooters so I can see the roots) at that point I would drop seed.

Experience with the genetics will help tremendously (some strains don't Cline well at all!).

But for general advice, that's my best guess...

Neither need a humidity dome.IMG_20200518_220908.jpg
I made these clones by sticking some cuttings in the top of my humidifier, then when the roots were long enough I potted them up in coco and sat them here by the window.

Haha, nice trick with the humidifier. So you just sit them by the window without a grow light until you need them? I think I'm going to have to "keep" them somehow for a few weeks before my tent is available. I read you can put cuttings in the frig in a ziplock or a jar with a little bit of water. Kind of want to avoid this though.

clone normally take 7 - 14 days to root, depending on your genetics/method. Seeds take a few weeks to really get veg'ing from sprout,
but they grow with much more vigor. It may be difficult to keep both growing at the same rate/canopy height for flower in the same tent.
Why are you doing both at the same time ? What is your objective ?

It was just an idea that I may drop if it doesn't make sense. I wanted to add a new strain or 2 to what I have now and also wanted to see them grow from scratch (I'm a new grower :)). I could just get another clone instead...
I do have some tomato seeds that I also want to sprout, but they wont go/stay in the tent necessarily.

Yea, nothing wrong with doing what your asking about, plants will just grow at diff rates in veg.
Go for it.
I'd grow out the seeds to maturity, sex if not fem, then clone from it, flower the mother & if it's a keeper, ya got clones, if not, toss and try again.

Yea, if I do get seeds, I'll make sure they are feminized, but still thinking. I got some time.
Just put my current ones into flower yesterday ;)
