SEEDS....To sell or not to sell?

I have been breeding for about 5 years now. Ive come up with about 100 different strains. Or should I say F1 Hybrids. I like the vigor and the assortment I get from F1's so I havent been backcrossing to stabalize alleles. Ive come up with some incredibly amazing strains and inbred some popular ones as well.Sweet Blue Kush,Sweet Blue Diesel,Sweet Blue Mango,Sweet Blue Purps,Sweet Blue Genes aka Blueberry Sponge Cake,Jack Daniel Kush,Purps,Great White Shark,Mango,Violator Kush,Hashplant Haze,Sour Cream,Purple Kush,Purps x Mass. Super Skunk,Blueberry x Sour Cream,Blueberry x Sweet Blue Diesel,Blueberry x Purps, On and on and on it goes. Way to many strains to list.The reason I dont go through SEEDBAY is because they get 50%. Thats crazy. I did all the work and they make as much as me? That means I would have to double my prices. I dont want to do that. My question is this........Would you buy from an underground seed co to test them out ,and if its good would you keep using them?OR... Would you feel safer going through a commercial seed vendor like Attitude?

Secondly..... I dont like to pay the high prices for a 10 or 12 pack of seeds. I always take a male and female of what Ive ordered and make tons of inbred and F1 hybrids. Ive grown Purps now for 5 years from seed. I ordered BCBD Purps and never had to order it again. Whenever I need seed, I just take my best male and best female and make more. Not one person has given me a bad report from any seed Ive made. Most of my hybrids are of the hook. I have so many seeds and not enough time to grow them all out ,so this is what made me start to think about opening my own seedbank online.The hunt for the perfect strain for me is what motivated me to create all these hybrids. Now Im sitting on mountains of seed and they need a home where someone will grow them out. For a price of course.

Reviews of a product are generally done by an impartial, and generally respected third party for a reason.

Personally I just give all my seeds away and in return get given other folks seeds and such for free

I hear ya. I usually give seeds away and trade seeds and clones and what not but I really need financial help to get me through the next 2 months before harvest. Its kinda like attitude seed promotions. When they need higher sales they do better deals. For me, when I need money and I dont have finished product, I thought about selling some of my fine genetics.

Ah, i ent bashing i'm just some idealist hippy weirdo who was put on the wrong planet I'm the same though, if money is needed, money is needed and i'm not about to go hungry over breaking a little principal like sharing seeds I might not go as far as selling crack at playgroup for some cheeseburgers, but i think i can accept the selling of seeds.

considering that the seed company carries the credibility of ur seeds and can probably access a much larger demograph than someone on their own and take care of postage packaging and being the first point of call for the customer i think they're doing a decent enough job for their 50%. i'd much rather have 50% of a million seed sales than 100% of even as much as 400000 seed sales. people do re-order from breeders they've gotten good results from, i say give it a bash with a seed company, i mean you've not got a lot to lose? just make another batch. u might sell out in days

Word, ive been slowly testing gear over the last few years, its been picking up speed and i want to stop ordering seeds after this summer and simply work on my own genetics and make my own strains, ive found dozens with traits that i like, from flavor to the very kinds of highs that i prefer. The real work is finding a male, outcrossing it with multiple females of different strains and seeing how its progeny are effected, as with females it is a bit more simple. I think the first real crosses i want to work on come april are-

TGA Ace of Spades (BCS dom) x Cheese #1 Kaliman seeds(stinkiest most cheesey pheno i can find)-i want some black cherry cheese or Lemon Berry Cheddar
Vortex x Qrazy Train (Querkle dom clone) - Maybe something Mangoey, or Rotten grapes, or some super funky fruit?
Vortex x Cheese #1 Kaliman seeds- Mango and cheese?
Ace of Spades x Qrazy train- Some kind of fruit punch?
Ace of spades x Vortex- orgasmic?


then i will have a few thousand seeds to keep me happy for a few years.
