Hi. My bonsai mams look seek. They are 2 moth old. I use 10x10x10cm grodan cube, RO water plus CalMag plus GHE Flora Series EC 0,5. Light is 36 watts day light. Room temp ok 19C, root 17C, could be lower at night. 3 weeks before i had salt builtup, i flushed and they grew nice. Now is a little cold outside. Is it possible that roots are to cold?? Last night i put them on styrophan. Today they look a little beter.

looks like your roots need quite a bit more space imo. standards a gallon per foot.

Also, I appreciate you are probably wanting to keep energy costs down to have a "minimal" bonsai mother grow (I am looking into doing this myself), but 36 watts probably isn't enough. Could you throw one more on there?

Roots have got space. In the midle of the cube aren't so many roots. The plant are only 20cm big. In the past they did fine with that light, week before I took nice clones. Why my leaves look like that? Grow is slow.

or 2-3 more for that kind of space. that has to be about 6 square feet of grow space, standard would be at least 300-400 watts.

yes i think the light is too small, get a socket splitter and double it . but scortched leaf edges and upward curl with deformed leaves tells me potassium deficency .
