High fellow growers!
Long time lurker, first time poster @ RIU. Been growing on/off for 13 years now, but most of my online activity took place in the OG.com days.
I've been doing 1 x 400w HPS grows since i popped my first seed. Always just growing to supply myself, my brother and maybe a friend. Now it's time for me to change light source. Been following the LED scene for years, and wasn't really impressed till the high power COB's came out. I've seen some impressive grows using them, around here. So I've been doing a bit of reading, trying to put together something that could be used in my 1m^2 tent.
It looks like the Vero 29 will fit my realtively tight budget. I'm thinking 4 x 2700k and 1 x 4000k. Each one driven at 36V 2,4A. Would this be overkill for a tent my size?
Planning on buying a driver for each COB, so I can turn them on/of individually. I've found some no-name LED drivers claiming 90% eff, that are within my budget
