hi

i been reading and this was the first time i have ever heard about seltzer water.........water with Co2........has anyone tried this method of feeding/spraying
water/co2/nurtients all in one system

"Perhaps the best foliar feeding includes using seltzer water and plant food at the same
time. This way, CO2 and nutrients are feed directly to the leaves in the same spray."

is it worth the money for the bottles or the system to make your own

Makes you a nerd. Furf. Co2 in heat good, light leaves and water bad. I'm sure you can find risk/reward info somewhere. I'll nerd on it for a bit.

yah there is Club soda ....is co2 water

The average shoot of the plants given tap water grew 67% (n = 3) of their original height, whereas the average shoot given carbonated water grew 170% (n = 3) of their original height. In performing the t-test, the value of t was 0.135.

170% boost

no co2 water was the focus to that thing u posted me

they did just tap water with nutrients......and they did club soda(seltzer water, carbonatied water) and nutrients

the tap water did 67% compared to the co2 water doing 170% ..................they tested it on 2 plants started at the same time for 10 days one was given tap one was given Co2water..............they proved it was the CO2 water does boost the growth of green plants

the extra nutrients in the water u can rules those out with the correct testing method

i am on well water here comes out of my tap at 116 ppm ph of 6.0
soda water test showing ppm at 57 and dropping ....ph lvl is lower then 4

so my well water has more then the Co2 water ............. the only major different is the Co2 and 2 points in ph lvl

i decided to give it a try ...............the nutrients i have say to keep them bubbling if u want to store it well see what Seltzer water does

i just watered my plant with my weakend mix ( autos) .....i noticed something right off the ground is still loose.....not compacted down like with water .....this could be a factor in it too

How much if I just suck the bubbles out? Not knocking it, available co2 is not credited only plant soluable macros in carbonated water. I think the bubbles open space for rhizos to grow and eat those nutes. Wells rock 14yrs 6.0 sometimes 6.5 after heavy rains.

ok up date i did this once ......it has been 3 days ...............the results are promising

the one that got the Co2water is 2 cms taller then the one that got the tap water...................note i used the same mix of nutrients same ammount ....they were due for watering

herb billy..............u want the bubbles that is the Co2 it broke up the surface as it goes down (i use air bags so there is method of excape /air auto to the system) ...the amount was the normal amount of water u give the plant for that part of the cycle (spray bottles loss the bubbles if going to spray use then dump outwill not be there for next time)

with Co2IMG_20130523_152441[1].jpg.............................with out IMG_20130523_152813[1].jpg........................u see the deeper green

I believe i read something about using peroxide a while back. peroxide is like water with an extra oxygen atom so i would assume the effects would be similar however, with peroxide you should be careful with the nutes especially if they are organic. the peroxide would make it easier for both good and bad bacteria to grow but still it might be something i experiment with in the future.

Would this be the same seltzer water we tried back in 1968?

Yep, no one ever thought of this before. Wasn't worth the money spent.

in all the books i have read there was nothing on Co2 water ................i got books dating from the 80s to 2 years ago none of them ever said anyting about ......i ran into the Co2 water idea from gardening flowers .....was reading up on roses (flower plants have things in common if i can id those then that is removel of more varibles )

the little exp i did her proved it does work ......plant 1 that got none is doing fine but plant 2 that got it is taller and the lowest set of leaves are about to fall off from lack of light reaching them the other fan leaves are covering it

mixed up my nutrients .....gallon water mix 3 week general organics go box .........cut it in half and mixed the Co2 water (2 litter).....ph balanced them both to 6.5 ph

try it ......i like to see other ppl results on different strains ................if u pour it on the ground u will see the ground tension break up do to the co2.......spraying it i noticed the leaves perked up for about 6/8 hours then when back to there normal fan
