I saw an article about the blue light from cell phones and possibly computers is really bad for our eyes and may contribute to macular degeneration. They suggest at a minimum to avoid reading cell phone stuff in the dark.
I have a relative who commercial fishes and would get bad headaches from sun glare. Another relative bought them Costa sunglasses - the 580s. Costa has I think 400 and 580. They have become popular because they supposedly filter out some of the reds and dangerous blues. He says no more headaches. Supposedly also blocks 100% UVA and UVB.

In addition to 100% protection from UV light, 580 technology also absorbs HEV light known to cause macular degeneration, pterygium, cataracts and other eye diseases
I guess this HEV or high energy blue light is the culprit. Anyone else know sunglasses that do this? Costa appears to have a patent. They are not cheap but Sierra Trading post website seems to have the best prices.
Anyone try these? i generally get 3M or other glasses that block 100% UVA and UVB for around HPS and MH. They cover the corners too because they are designed to go over glasses.

I really want Costa's mainly for outside but also wonder if they will help in grow rooms? I am migrating to all QB from HPS.
