Separating trichomes with vibration?

Anyone remember the old vibration football games? Well, I was thinking that something like that might be adapted for separating trichomes. Like, what if you were to take something like a palm sander (sans the paper obviously) and touch it to a screen -like a framed screen used for carding dry sift, for example?

Or, what if, instead of stirring your bucket of ice and weed to make bubble hash, you got the water super-cooled and then applied the palm sander to the outside of the bucket to agitate the liquid? Do you think it might shake the trichomes free of the leaf material with less cellular breakage and leaching out of the chlorophyl?

your thoughts?

Dry ice + bud + bucket with screens over it and lid on.
Shake that while holding it upside down.

Then pull the screens apart like with bubble hash and they fill of different grades hash powder.
Iv used a mates paint mixer and 1gal bucks and worked well 5mins was a little too long tho and got a little bit of green color to it in the low quality bag.
Then lightly cook powder between baking paper on 80C with some weight on it and it turns into a golden block.

Could probably use the vibration in place of the shaking.

Somewhere here in RIU we were talking about this before.
There is a ultrasonic frequency someone mentioned but I have no idea what it is anymore.
I thought about taking a ultrasonic jewelry cleaner and tweaking the frequency.

I have mentioned ultrasonic homogenizer extraction in a thred on here before. They work. Knock the tricombs off anything in about 3 seconds. They are available in hand held size up to school bus size. They have been around for a long time

You could use a jewelry cleaner as an experiment. Ive known people that made their own in that way. It works ok but id suggest investing in a more powerful one built for your intended application.
Or a cheap and easy way to use vibration. Make morocan hash. Its fun. Get a drum circle together of your friends and enjoy

This process fascinates me. What specific function is it performing? Is it replacing maceration and agitation? Does the ultrasonic probe only work in a liquid medium (I'm imagining dry extraction where glandular heads simply fall from the plant ;-))? Is it limited to certain menstrua? And, can I assume that, depending on the polarity of the menstruum, the process might be used to either put something into solution...or create a precipitant?

What we found playing with ultrasonics, is that in addition to frequency, energy is required to shake the assembly. Our ultrasonic jewelry cleaner is suitable to speed up desolation, but not break off trichomes.

We tried a 60W transducer on the Grinning Reaper, but it wasn't nearly enough, so we picked up a seat shaker, that we haven't tried yet.

We also ran experiments using a 10" woofer and various music, as well as a signal generator. Our highest yield was at 30 herz.

Its done dry. I believe it would require 100 watt or 80 hertz or something. i could be wrong. Cross reference that, ask a chemist that is using one currently. I do know a typical jewelry cleaner is not sufficient.
With adequate power the process should take a minute or 2

Also consider contacting sigma aldrich or hielscler directly and seeing what they recomend. Ive seen them used to extract safron
