i have a serious question! where do regs and mids come from?!?! i no theyre grown all over the place like mex and shit but are they chronic plants that were grown badly thus they came out low quality? or are they own strain? idk its confusing. what if you crossed regs with white widow would be mids quality bud? i no its not worth the time or effore lol just curious

The quality of the weed all depends on the grower and the strain. You can take a seed from some terrible mexi-brick weed and grow some quality bud. "shawg" and "mids" look like they do because of transport processes, and their cultivator's lack of care. Strain also comes into the picture but.. not so much when you are dealing with pounds and pounds of brick weed stuffed in a gas tank.

dirt comes from rushing/fucking up the dryng/curing process I've seen quality plants grown by friends then they dried it out and it was unsmokeable.I dont believe any strain is dirt its the grower that makes it like that.

Mexican weed is usually brown from being dried in piles on sheets laid out in the sun. I've taken some mexican seeds and forced them to grow into hermies and then cross breed them. The resulting F1 strain was some of the best bud I ever grew. I have pictures of that grow here.

Not your average type of mexican.

The other day my bro gave me some bud that looked slammin'. It had loads of crystals and shit. When we fired up a bowl we just stopped and looked at each other. That shit tasted like fresh cut grass. It seems whoever grew it cut it prematurely and dried it way too quickly before it could dissipate the chlorophyl. There were like 2 or three decent nuggets that tasted good, so they were probably top bud. We smoked a 2g doobie and we finally caught a little buzz :/

Good examples of shit turned to gold and good potential wasted.

You get different highs because of varying levels of cnnabinoids:

THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) gets a user high, a larger THC content will produce a stronger high. Without THC you don't get high.
CBD (Cannabidiol) increases some of the effects of THC and decreases other effects of THC. High levels of THC and low levels of CBD contribute to a strong, clear headed, more energetic high.
Cannabis that has a high level of both THC and CBD will produce a strong head-stone that feels almost dreamlike. Cannabis that has low levels of THC and high levels of CBD produces more of a stoned feeling. The mind feels dull and the body feels tired.
CBN (Cannabinol) is produced as THC ages and breaks down, this process is known as oxidization. High levels of CBN tend to make the user feel messed up rather than high.
CBN levels can be kept to a minimum by storing cannabis products in a dark, cool, airtight environment. Marijuana should be dry prior to storage, and may have to be dried again after being stored somewhere that is humid.
THCV (Tetrahydrocannabivarin) is found primarily in strains of African and Asian cannabis. THCV increases the speed and intensity of THC effects, but also causes the high to end sooner. Weed that smells strong (prior to smoking) might indicate a high level of THCV.
CBC (Cannabichromene) is probably not psychoactive in pure form but is thought to interact with THC to enhance the high.
CBL (Cannabicyclol) is a degradative product like CBN. Light converts CBC to CBL.

Yeah it's mommies were from a regular bag of dirt mexicano weed, that I turned hermaphroditic and was bred to another one of the same phenotype that was also stressed to become a hermie. The resulting seeds are what that bud came from. Sadly I moved several times since and I lost that strain. I called it Juicy Fruit because that's what it smelled like. This was way before I ever heard of the Fruity Juice strain. That bud came off a 20" tall plant.

it is damn interesting... here's a shot of a bud from my first indoor grow, mexi shwag seeds.... it wasnt killer dank, but it was a shit ton better than the weed it came from, which is what i wanted to see:-P

all depends on what kind of bud it is.... you never really know.... you could end up with a indica dominant, skunk-like bud that flowers in 8-9weeks... or you could end up with the huge, lanky sativas that can take up to 16weeks to flower.... fuck that:-P
