Setting up an automatic watering system with a timer for my plants

im trying to figure out how to make a watering system that will water my plants for me witha drip hose and a pump and a timer. any ideas??? drawing would be nice as well =) oh and my plants are on a ledge about 3 feet above the water. and only about a foot away from the water.

if its that close use a wick, stick a piece of soft rope inside a piece of drip line and then burry one end in the soil with your plants, make sure to leave some hanging out so the dirt can absorb it

For sure, I was lookin at Orange Shovel's gravity water system a few days ago. Good shit, i'll probably do something like that for this summer....
