Sf 2000 dimming and hanging heights

I've run 2 sf2000s and 1 sf1000 hanging heights I ran the sf1000 at 30 inches for seedlings and clones. All lamps at 24-22 for veg. Watching for cal mag problems

What dimming setting did you use for each stage if you dont mind me asking. I just germinated my seed and dont want to fry it or under light it.

I have a similar LED. I keep mine between about 75 and 90. Sometimes I'll dim down to 65 or 70 to simulate a cloudy day.

I didn't. Left them out the box setting. SF are awkward with warranties (apparently). Also wanted a base line and some use before I attempt turning them up.
I'd say with the 2000 start about 30-35inches from top of the plants and lower slowly. The UV makes them much Calmag so look for werid leaf shapes and purpling stems as these are the first signs of calmag followed by brown dead spots. If your in coco make sure you add plenty of calmag you will need it!

You can try 40 inches. Look for tall leggy seedlings. If this is the case lower by 6 inches and watch the results.

I feel like if I put it anything over 60% I'll dry everything out. I just got an email back from spiderfarmer regarding the dimming. I'm posting the email for anyone who needs it. and I bought a kit from apotforpot that came with "everything" I need from seed to harvest. I'm hoping that's true

Hey quick question my young plants have yellowing leaves on bottom, from what I read it’s cal or mag definciency, do I have my sf4000 to close? Running at 45% and 2 feet away? I didn’t know the cal and mag might be affected by lighting? Any tip would be fantastic

Yeah I'm not 100% sure how it affects the Calmag. I just know that the UV diodes build in to the QBs causes plants to have calmag issues.
Leds are something I'm just starting to wrap my head around fully. The SF4000 is way to powerful for young plants in my opinion. The SF1000 did an excellent job bring my seedlings to early veg (upto first transplant). I then moved my plants under 2 SF2000s 2 under each at 18 inches and discovered very quickly Calmag was getting hammered somehow. Took me about 2 days of searching to find that Calmag and led lighting have a relationship.
However to solve the Calmag issue is relatively simple to solve once I raised my lights 22-24 inches. I doubled my cal mag for the next 2/3 feeds before reducing back down. Keeping close eye that no further signs of deficiency.
For flower I tried to lower to 12 inches and noticed the very first signs of light burn. Another reason I'm glad I wasn't messing with power levels yet. I found at 15 inches was a good sweet spot. Easy to manage Calmag for the first few weeks of flower. I did higher cal mag slightly too during stretch as they stretched faster than expected and wanted to avoid further Calmag.
This is how they are currently with the sf1000 bridging the gap between the sf2000 units as I have a long narrow space.

Wow, thanks for your in depth solution, I didn’t even know where to stop, now with the.new dimming capability on the spider lights I can drop the percentage and or higher the light, I will also add a cal mag supplement and see what happens, I appreciate your help

I have the light 30 inches away, my Sativa seem to be ok but my indica is struggling. My room temp is running about 88, I know the ideal temp is between 70-85, I am thinking it is heat stress from the light. I currently have a 4” fan exhausting the small room but have a brand new 8”, so I will be putting that in today to try to control my temps more. I have also turned my light down to 40%,

I'm having the same exact issue. My room is staying around 83-88. Maybe I need a 2nd fan or just a better ac for the house all together my guys just sprouted and they look like they're shriveling up :T gotta figure this light out more I guess.

It's a TS3000, so about 13 inches from the canopy. Give you're plants a cloudy day every now and again. They'll thank you and reward you for it.

I put my 8inch fan hooked up to a ac limit dial, this allows me to control the speed of the fan, I now have an average temp of 73 at night and about 79 during the light on times. I’m feeling much better about it, I would lift that light a bit if I where you depending on the light output.
With mine being a SF4000, I have it set to 40% and have it lifted to 30 inches, spider farm has 24-40 inches for my plant size, they where all at 6 nodes the other day and I’ve topped them. Even in the two days of the bigger fan I can notice a difference in my plants. Just need some suggestions on how to quite the fan down a bit. I was thinking of trying rubber under the mounts

Why would you give it a cloudy day? I don’t understand this theory, my plants relax and recoup during the 4 hour lights out
