Sf2000 height and setting for a 2x4 tent

Hey brains trust.

Just curious what height and power/dimmer setting I should run a sf2000 in a 2x4 tent. Bit of a back story here so bare with me as I try to explain.

So I've had to put my tent in my shed as I can't do another outdoor grow again. First issue is where I'm located it's exceptionally hot (current average temp is around 41c celcus).

So after I germinated the seeds I had them in the tent, I've hooked up a portable ac however it's not inside the tent. Problem I think I'm facing here is that the thermostat in the ac is actually external and not cooling the tent accordingly so I figure I'm running too cold which is probbly one of the main issue for stunted growth. Move forward I relocated the 2 pots outside for some natural light to encourage growth, which worked for one of them but the other seed unfortunately diddnt take. But the one that did grow I left it out in the sun for the day while I went to work (noob mistake), I came home to it limped over and near dead. I gave it a fresh drink and moved it back inside the tent and modified the ac slightly which resulted in the seedling standing back upright and now has the first two leafs. Problem now (a week later) it's not made any progress in size.

I'm wondering if perhaps I don't have the light set correctly, so im curious as to what percentage I should set the dimmer and what hight to adjust it to (from top of plant to light fitting).

I'm also going to move the ac into the tent so I will hopefully have a better control of the room temp.

I've only grown outside (hydro) and have had great success but going indoors with an LED is very new to me. I appreciate any feedback given.

Thanks

I have that light- try and keep it 3’ above top of plant in veg and you can start at 40% setting

Thabks for that.

I did have a mate say something similar so I'll have to see how I've gone with that over the next few days and potentially do another adjustment early next week. Appreciate your comment. How do you fi d the light during flower

I believe the recommendation for full print is 21-28 inches above canopy at full power. I’m around 18 inches and at 80%. (Just jumped from 50%) no problems for me.

This par map is from the spider farmer site. It would be a better fixture if the two boards would be seperate, but the 18"/45cm map seems best. Maybe even go a tiny bit higher?

Yeah i like it around 18” plus at flower at 80%, that 80% level seems just a touch lower than full power but allows the plants to flower closer to the light if space an issue

Mate thanks a million,

Awsome having someone with hands on exp with this light, I'm running approx 2x4x6 (touch over 6 though)

Getting itchy now, haha can't wait to see it produce. It's my first time indoor, I'm a little worried about temp, if I'm not to stuffed in 6 hours time I'll try and set up my thermometer so I can check that it's not too hot.

Appreciate everyone's input.

Good thing is the light doesn’t add much heat, after one grow you will have a great feel for the light, like a turntable and you are the DJ, I often run plants with diff stretch and with the SF 2000 its easy to tilt up one side a bit higher

Ive got a couple sf2000s...I only have about 6.5feet of height, so in flower I tend to actually use heavy duty zip ties as my hangers which helps me gain another like 5-7 inches to raise up. I don't go over 80%.
