Share Old seed packs and stories attached to them

Every time I slip another used pack in with the others I've saved over the years I can't help but have my memories stirred. Alot of these old packs have stories attached to them, so if your inclined, let's see the pack and hear the story that sprung form it.

We'd been reading about this east coast sour Diesel in the high times and got stoked when we saw these seeds available kinda near us.
A group of guys, an overnight trip to Montreal ( a story unto itself, best left untold) $400 CAN latter, we had the beans!
After a lot of care and concern , we finished them out, and they were not Diesely, or that great for that matter. Early taste of being burned by the hype train.......
Not a happy ending, but a story non the less.

While at an expo in Toronto many moons ago (treating yourself expo) me and the wife were smoking a joint with the owner of skunk magazine and a few other business owners and this guy kept giving me the eye like hey yea man thumbs up. Lol i gestured hi to him and he walked over and handed me a vile of beans labeled 'mozzarella cheese'. It was a printed label from 'first class seed company' i took it and didnt think much of it until i cracked them. She became a staple in all my friends grows skunky cheesey and a mega producer. We grew her outside and ill always remember picking her in snowstorms on the hill we grew on because shes a 9-10 weeker and we simply didnt have the climate to finish her till the end so we would push it until literally we would.be harvesting in snowstorms lol wed call it our ice cheese. Awesome story! It's so true that some of the best herb comes to us by suprise or chance.

Ah right let me tell ya a story . It's to do with seeds but not a pack.
This was a fucking box. Looking and thinking back I must of been off my fucking napper .
I'm from north England and back in 1991-1994 I was working down in London as a door to door sales person . I was working this block of exclusive flats. I came across a big huge boxing the corridoor Must of been 3ft square. Full of all this stuff, didn't have a clue what it all was. On top of all this what I thought was junk was in fact a load of growing equipment, on top of it all was a plastic box like one of them pill boxes that has every day compartments for Monday to Sunday. Well this one was bigger maybe had 50 compartments in this plastic box and in those compartments, every single 1, they was full of seeds. I had them away and just ended up chucking the lot down a drain.
Now thinking back if I had them seeds now. Now that would be fucking amazing. I think there was a lot of Thai weed about at the time but not a lot like there is now . Was more solids like rocky and red seal, gold seal, soap bar and the like .
Well that's my story of the seeds I came across and un be known to me I didn't have a clue what they where .
Some times I think about what I did and I could chop me left hand off.

Around 2000, having trouble with botrytis at the outside spot with the chunky Afghans that we were running, so I picked these up at TSB and put some afghan on it. Ran those the next summer. Got a mix of pheno types with mixed results but no bud rot!
Was cool that you could make your own seeds to work in your situation. Not my first batch of beans, but the first time I had a real objective and I got there.

Oh my goodness! The ganga gods were smiling on you that day. Would be nice to have some of those old varieties now a days. Could use them to straighten out some of the poly hybrid fuckery going around now.

You found out the hard way... Soma never had real diesel... but he did know how to sell it.

Yeh . If I relised what all the equipment was, a would of phoned a friend with a van . Hahaha . Would be worth more than gold now

Exactly what it says . They got chucked, emptied just like that down the drain in the road . Haha , cannot believe it when a think back . What do you mean nah you've read my stuff ????

I’m lost.
You saw this stuff in the hallway. Saw a large container of seeds? Left them there? Threw them away?
I mean I have a good memory. Aren’t you training for teaching?

Yeh this was 30 years ago . No, left all equipment as at the time didn't have a clue what it was. Seen this see through plastic box with the seeds, so just picked them up, walked out the building with them and a little way down the road I just tipped them out down the drain.
