I light 30 candles in a circle and throw off all of my clothes.
I then draw a giant pentacle on the floor in fresh virgin sheeps blood.
After that I tug on my sack and poop in my hand while I dance in a circle singing "Boys Don't Cry" by The Cure.

Why did you bother wasting 10 secs to post that?? i didn't make this for my own benefit. Its for the benefit of people who don't feel like searching so hard to find something. Simply a thread to help new comers grow large healthy plants

Seeds that are floated prior to germination will sink if they are viable (after a day or so)
Any seed that won't sink isn't gonna grow.

If they're left in there too long it might be too much. Trick is to only soak them for 24 hours and if after 24 hours they don't crack, put them into the paper towel method. If they do crack while in the cup of water, then you can put them in the dirt. You don't want to leave them soaked in water if their shells have opened up.

They ain't gonna crack while floating. The object is to permeate the embryo w/H20, which sinks the seed and indicates fertility. Obviously, floaters* have no embryo.
*those that never sink.
Note: after a day on the water, a slight touch may be needed to urge sinking.

unless I soak my seeds first mine dont work. lol. that simple.

also I plave them in RR then I place them right in dirt. I put a clear beer cup over the RR. I keep that sprayed with ro water.

only use ro water. 24 tapwater is not good enuf.

aerate my teas for 18-24 hours. For bacteria in soil

I use Super Plant Tonic on eBay. It is organic bacterial inoculant, that worls wonders. Also I thow in fresh worm castings, compost, and manure for bacteria and a little NPK.

I started in hydro like everyone else. Then I learned about organic soil. Now I grow organic trees in 7 gallons of dirt. Wish I would have done that in the first place.

lights are everything. Just buy the biggest HID you can afford and all the support equipment. You need need need cool temps.

77 in lights on and 71 in lights out is what i use mostly. An 8 degree drop in night temps stimulates resin

10. uvb cfl will help the plant make resin.

that is all for now.:)

dirt clean:
So you prefer organic to hydro?
Is there a difference in yield/quantity that made you switch? Or was it a different reason?

i know that wasn't directed at me but i changed just cause hydro takes alot more time and work. I'm a full time roofer so i don't have the time or energy to spend caring for a hydro setup. At least in soil its just water nutes and pruning if you like to prune.
