She topped herself?

So i start to notice this plant is mutating in the flo box. It was normal in veg but now has topped herself and grew out 4 shoots instead of 2 on the lower node lol

The stock is fatter than a plant of that size should be , its healthy but almost comical to look at. If this has happened to anyone else drop a post.
Strain is (skunkberry X cindy99) , these are beans i made.

This plant was fine like i said in veg..but the other 2 i germed are mutant as hell . Almost like a blueberry mutant might look, crinkled leafs and deformed stock.

I wonder if your strain is somehow fucked? 1 out of 3 isn't that great..

Well 3/3 are mutants now...ill put some pics up of the vegging ones. I never seen this happen b4 either :\

@ jesus.....i was thinking that to..even though the genetics i used were hermie free, i dunno if that gene carried on for later generations...fuckin blueberry

just cause the mothers are hermie free dosent mean that they dont carry that gene. Especially with homegrown seeds or strains you made yourself (not you but anyone) some tend to hermy more than others because we dont have the time or experience to be able to weed out the bad characteristics of that strain.

When a seed is crossed for the first time or first generation it is so diverse it gets unstable tendencies but vigorous growth also that looks like the ones in your pic were it branches out a lot at one particular node. i had one do this to me of a paid for gene and it had a fat trunk but stunted growth at the mutated node and turned out to be a male anyway...

Try supper cropping below the mutated node to ensure the lower shoot shoots up and have an even fatter trunk plus bigger yield

This could be the case...ive only made seeds a few times so im still super rookie at breeding, nor do i have the proper room for it really.

Thanks for the info, this could also be the case as all 3 plants show mutated growth. I would have supercropped in veg if i knew it was gonna do this, but it didnt really show till i flipped it. And i wanted to see what kinda cola it grew untopped. I have 2 in veg that i may top..those are even worse than this one lol.

Heres its siblings still i veg




These are 2 BBxC99 (same father)....so far they seem ok other than a lil spiral leaf action, well see how they turn out with time.

Grow them out ull be surprised with the females out these mutants, they are trynna do so much at once...
Keep clones of each mutant b4 they flower just in case it hermies on u,the clone may not have the hermi problem and
be more balanced/stable because mutant growth is mostly a seedling thing that happens after germination...

and i bet that they will be super easy to clone with such an unstable homogeneous growth...

Thanks for the help brick....i did decide to keep em, the bigger one is flowering with no problems so far, and she looks strong. I did decide to cull the smallest of the 2 i had in veg tho (the one on the right in the side by side) It was weak and the leaves were withering, the rootmass was shitty to..so binned. Hopefully the one in veg is a female and i plan on revegging the big plant. I woulda took a cut off it in flo, but due to the mutancy i decided not to add extra stress at the time. Ill keep this updated.

i did have a retarded looking Blueberry plant about 4 years back, was full on mutant all the way thru 12/12.. only yielded about 1/4 zip, but of the best brainfuck i ever had to date. Im all for the mutants..just never seen anything as fucked up as this plant before lol.

those are really odd looking huh? no matter, with the firs tset of pics, ide try to trim whatever seemed weakest from the node areas, as for the other pics, just grow them out! maybe their mutant buds will be flame-worthy!

I hope it its good smoke I was thinking along the same lines as you to trim but the older she gets the more buds blow up. Heres some new pics , there is no weak nodes to see and i wanna keep a couple crappy lowers to reveg and cut from. The mutant in veg is looking better by the day and strong, i culled the weaker of the 2 tho.




I do got one question tho...with all the extra fan leaves will it absorb more energy? Or use more?
