Shiny Gluey Leaves Normal Before Harvest?

I don't have a pic yet but i am getting concerned about the leaves coming out of the bud.... the leaves that have no stems. They are wet and really really shiny.... i touched one and its like glue! WTF is it?????

I've done A LOT of reading and I have never heard of this before. I am at around 9 weeks now and about 40% of the hairs are red. I want to just harvest already... when i open the door to the room it's like i get hit in the face with a dead skunk. I wanted to check the trichomes but I don't have a microscope and i can't get one anytime soon.

It's been about a week and a half and the red/white hair ratio kinda got stuck on 40%... I also don't see much thickening in the buds either. Also, the calyxes are really fat and bloated.

I am REALLY scared of missing the 'window' of maturity. I am the kind of person who would wait till eternity if it meant better bud. Problem is that i may be TOO patient.

Is this the window right now? After a growth spurt where 40% changes red, the calyxes swell like crazy and then......nothing

Interesting. A couple of my girls are showing the same thing. All trichs are pretty much 100% milky (no amber) and when I inspect them for caterpillars my fingers are sticky yet with a heavy oily film. Leaves on my bud seem normal.

Are you growing outdoor? I'm growing indoor...
It is really oily... so odd...

I'm outdoor with the Hindu Kush + Skunks approx. 7 weeks into flower with pretty much 10/70/20 ratio trichs (clr/cloudy/amber). Its wierd because only the Hindu Kush + Skunks are doing this. My other strains are extremely sticky but does not leave any oily residue. Wonder if it's a strain trait?

Bro there is no need to hurry your harvest up. I think you should wait till the hairs actually START CURLING back into the bud itself!. The longer you wait the better. It's not like it is going to start getting worse. Your bud can only get better from now. There is no actual set date or schedule of when your supposed to pick it, it's all about grower preference and knowledge about the strain and just the way you like your smoke. Although I have never heard of the sticky stuff you describe but I wouldn't harvest just yet. But Pics of the "GOO" would help

It's kind of hard to photograph it but I can try to describe it as best as I can. You know if you work on your girls during flowering (or do any type of handling) and you pressed your fingers together...they will be sticky and when you part them it feels like your finger tips have weak adhesive on them (but dry). Smell your fingers and it smells dank. Well, with my HK+S (and perhaps Cane's girls) everything is the same but fingers are not sticky but oily. So its not goo as in a milky/liquid discharge.

dude, ffd2blk had a thread on here somewhere saying that you can wait for months and months and months after the trichs turn amber, so dont worry man.

thanks for the replies guys. i picked a really small bud from the middle/bottom of the plant and dried it fora day. I smoked a bowl and ..... holy shit. I've been smoking for years and have visited coffee shops in the dam multiple times... but this was the strongest 'up' high i have ever had. its was even pretty smooth. I can't wait till everything is dried and cured!!!! I am probably going to harvest in a few days because this 'up' high is exactly what i was going for. I picked another really small bud to share with my sister. here is a pic... keep in mind, the 'real' buds don't look like this little guy at all. I'll have pics of the oily leaves and the colas tom.
Then you can really tell me if you would harvest or wait.
