shooting guns

if you live out in the country i recommend shooting guns on your property quite often. It should keep the neighbors afraid of trespassing on your side of the line and probably a little sketchy about going right up near the property line at all. lol. I'm not saying to shoot in their direction or anything. gotta be safe. Theres just something about semi auto gunshots that say stay away. it's always fun to touch off at least 50 rounds of pistol ammo ( I recommend high point carbines for this they are a dirt cheap and reliable sub machine gun (like 200 bucks most gun stores) the sights are sweet as well.) You don't want to shoot off so many rounds people think your in the militia though. lol. don't always shoot the same gun either. you want the neighbors to think your a sportsman not a thug or crazy person. I also have a cvs buckhorn .50 cal magnum muzzle loader and it's a riot to shoot. got my first deer with it. bring some friends over to shoot guns with you as well. you guys will have a blast. We always bring stuff with us to shoot (like old electronics lol.) just be safe and don't shoot in random, crazy directions or twards ones crib. Don't poach the wildlife either. wait till it's season and do it the right way if you hunt.
What do you guys think bout guns? I'm not a big fan of pistols as I know one person ( a cool dude, too) in my small city of 10,000 peeps was shot and killed by accident in a liquor store by his fellow employee . another guy ( a kid) got shot by a gun that was my cousins boyfriends and an old friend shot himself in the leg by accident. Thats just a few of the many shootings there. They just seem more like a thugs tool more than anything. don't get me wrong I myself will consider tryin to get my ccw (concealed weapons permit) in the future. A person willing to go through the courses should be able to carry and could save lives of people. I would probably carry a little .25 in a wallet shell/type concealer holster thing that goes in your back pocket and looks like a wallet. Any of you guys shoot? whats your fav guns? Anyone ever shoot off carbide cannons? even if you don't like guns you could have fun and make loud bangs w/ a carbide cannon.

Bad idea..Thats calling attention to you and your property. Nothing like guns being shot off to bring the game wardens and police looking around..

what bouts the carbide cannon any experience with those? I live in a bigger city now and wonder if i can shoot one off here in town? I guess there just like toys kinda. wonder how loud they are.

I lived in the country for year's. Own a few gun's myself. Blasting off 50 rounds or so some one is going to be real interested, Not to many hunter's are wasting a hundred rounds a month or even 50. How many times can you say your sighting in your gun to the Gamewarden/Cop? I would be real interested if my neighbor was blasting of the gun like a kid with a new toy.

nah just establish yourself as a person who shoots before you attempt a grow. work up to 50 rounds if no one else really in the area shoots. A lot of my friends shoot and hunt so its not a big deal to hear shots. if you let some rounds off it might inspire others around you to shoot and then it wont be unusual to hear gunshots ringing through the distance. Don't be afraid to shoot your guns man. It's only goin to be a problem if your neighbors hear them whizzing into there area or somthin. just be respectful. 99% of the time if someone is reported to law for shooting on their own property it's by a neighbor. just don't give them a reason to report you.

I wouldn't shoot 50 rounds off more then every 4 months though. like i said don't want to seem fanatical.

The SKS looks a bit like an AK47. Those sell cheap too. They are like a .223 cal.

I have a few rifles I use for Deer and Elk. Don't hunt much anymore. More into the fishin' - catch and _release_ you know. Gettin soft in my old age. Also have a Glock 40 cal. I play around with once in a long while. lol, have a .22 cal as well ...

I lived in the country when I was younger and hearing a few gun shots once in a while was no big deal. Usually figured people were out target practicing. Never went looking for them either ^_^

Just don't go shootin off your rounds at night and no one would care much.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!! crazy stuff you see on the net. in the wrong hands, acetylene and a lighter are not a good thing. i weld for a living and have access to many gases. i'm already thinking, plotting, planning,...... my boss is gonna flip. we have stainless steel piping for wineries, oh say maybe we will go with 3" or should we go 4"? weld it up real nice. throw in a little oxygen with that acetylene. RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That carbide canon reminds me of that potato canon i shoot around my house. Like 50 rounds of potatoes and the neighbors are like WTF is going on over there! When the police come over to inspect I serve 'em up mashed potatoes from the porch. I even take it hunting with my friends.

SKS is chambered for 7.62x39. Fun and cheap, I have several friends that own them. I think their design is actually better than the AK as they are milled instead of cheaply stamped.

I used to shoot from my back yard all the time when I lived in Kansas. The sheriff deputy would stop by to chat and even pop a few rounds as well. It is actually pretty normal for the country.

I am an avid hunter, target shooter, and pothead. I also have family in the DNR, which in my state, controls everything that has to do with outside. And while shooting your guns on private property in any fashion be it a fully automatic weapon or clay pigeons or one shot every ten minutes is legal, any gunshot at any time can be a reason for the police or DNR to stop in. DNR can also trespass on private land at any time he or she wishes. I have never had a run in with any law enforcment while shooting by our cabin, and we have had some rather intense shooting sessions. However at the same time, shooting is generally only a deterrent when someone is actively shooting.
