I am a noob on my second grow. The first Grow i used a lumigrow LED. For the second i got two 1000w HPS. I Have heard about a 36 hr dark period before harvest has many positive effects, would it make sense to slightly shorten the day cycle more and more (down to say 8 hours of light 16 dark) tward the end of the flower cycle to replicate the natural seasons? Probibly a dumb question, but just curious.

Harvesting in the morning ensures that your plant will be at peak THC content, as cannabis has shown THC fluctuations peaking in morning and dropping during the day. Some growers leave their lights off for several days before harvest to increase potency. This seems to have some scientific validity as light has been shown to degrade THC, hence the morning peaks.
