hi im new at this i just planted my first seeds a week ago and my plant has already started growing. i was looking around at some pics posted on the forum ( i see there are many different shoots growing from the main stem and the plants still arent over 10" tall i was told not to top until the plant was three levels high) and was wondering how to get a shorter bbushier plant in which i will see the same yield come flowering time. any advice due to the fact i am growing in a closet. :?

right now im using one 150w reveal cool whie light and one 15w HG light the Hg light is closer to the plant and the 150w is hangin above the plants. . . i have a small grow space maybe 4x4

don't know about them lights never used them. but when that happened to mine i lowered the light what u might have is the plant streaching to the light lower the light so it does have to. all so i found different types of plants grow different. for the small space tie the plant over so the other parts sprout up.

use a flor. light. they put out a "white" or "blue" spectrum depending on the lumans. and keep the light about two inches from the top at all times. it will, indeed grow bushy. because you dont want your plants to "stretch" that makes them weak and not able to support themselves. :D

Sounds like the plant is stretching to get to the light, make sure your room has all round reflection, a decent wattage bulb, and ensure that the plant doesnt get scorched keep it about 4 - 5 inches away from the plant
